How many times platinum you see this album going? I mean he went plat just off one single, even though, “A Milli,” got as much buzz as a single without even having a video. He recently shot the video for, “Got Money,” with T-Pain.

It’s very impressive that an artist (Lil Wayne) who isn’t even a mainstream star with many loyal fans still could sell almost one million records the first week in these days when it’s so difficult to sell records even for the major stars. He destroyed popular artists like Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey Usher…etc. Sure he had a big hit with Lollipop but it doen’t make any sense that his album could be soooooo successful. Congrats to Wayne and keep on doing your thing, but I’m still shocked about his enormous success. I never saw that coming.

I think the blogger “hip hop fan” is the one who bought a milli copies of the lil wayne album and had them stored someplace lol. But anyway i personally think that lil wayne Tha Carter 3 album will stop at selling 3 mill. But if it go’s higher and keep selling records then it will be a very good look for hiphop. And that is what hiphop suppose to be about hiphop should be about going plat from plat to double to double to triple and selling even more. That is what make hiphop fun and that is what keep hiphop alive. Plus that way people wouldn’t complain about an artist selling terribly and say that hiphop is dead. Because by lil wayne’s album selling a mill shows us that hiphop is still alive it probably has sleeping disorder and slept on us lol. Topics like this is what keep hiphop going and just as long as we keep on supporting hiphop it will alway stay positive and be alive period.

The T.O.S album is better then Tha Carter 3 album it probably won’t sell as much copies as The Carter 3 sold but it better. And just because an album sell more then another album doesn’t mean it better especially in the case of the T.O.S and Tha Carter 3. I mean lets not forget that the reason why Tha Carter 3 went plat is because it came out at the right time. And it was the only most popular album that came out on june 10 that why it went plat. It was also the most anticipated album that attracted alot of white folk into buying it. But beside that the T.O.S will be better theres more better track on the T.O.S album in my opinion. There were only 5 good song that i actually liked on Tha Carter 3 album and they were…’Tie my hands’…’Mr carter’…’Let the beat build’…’A milli’ and…’Dr carter’…But as we all know the T.O.S album has more then just 5 better tracks on the album and that why it’s better then Tha carter 3 in my opinion.

T.O.S has great hooks, hard beats & hard rhymes. I feel in the long run it will hold up to Beg For Mercy, it’s just that G-Unit movement was much stronger in ‘03.

In the music business it’s a norm for 2nd week album sells to drop about 75% you can check any album that came out from 92 till today. Weezy actually did alot better than most for his second week, Alicia keys also did well her 2nd week also. But it’s a norm that the average person outside of the music business don’t know about.
