First off I just want to say that if this is the course his new album is going to take then like it or not, for better or for worse this is the John Lennon of the new generation. If it’s one thing we lack it is a voice for our generation, and a song like this is it. Like it or not people we are in this together. Ill bet everything I have (which isn’t much) that most everyone on this board is’nt rich and/or a minority, so like I said we are in this together. This song is about black people just as much as it’s about Jews, Italians, Asians, or any other minority for that matter. This is a truly great song with a profounf meaning not found in most music let alone hip-hop.

Hey #30 Wreck415, by you saying that #9 is white and should not be on this board shows that you listened to the song just about as much as #9 did. If you know anything about Nas or even listened to his music you would know that he hates racism of ANY kind, even toward white people. And being a Jew, I was not in the least offended by his use of the word “Kike” because I understand why he was using it. As a matter of fact, being a Jew growing up in the piece of shit racist south I’ve gotten my fair share of bigotry, but i just look ahead because some people will neve rchange and you can’t let them get you down. Just thought I would throw that out there. Also, anyone who is offended by this song needs to open their mind, not just their ears.

Nas, did his thing on this song but it sounds as if he condoning saying the word nigger(nigga). I have to listen to the rest of the album, we need to chose another word besides the word the white men gave us to demean us. I don’t think it would be so hard to erase that word from our vocabulary when refering to each other. We can use another word to refer to one another!!

the video would make sense if you bothered to watch it. Nas didn’t insult any jewish person; in fact, the lyrics are: “to all my kike niggas, spic niggers, Guinea niggers, chink niggers”. There, are you alone? No. Nas (regardless if he’s doing it for the $$ or whatever) is saying that all minorities were and are oppressed and silenced in history.

The fact that you got angry because of a lyric that applied to EVERYBODY is amazing because this just shows that you didn’t understand the message. You’re probably never going to read this comment, but I hope you’ll understand that sometimes words follow one another…this is called a sentence. When you have a couple of these, maybe you’ll be able to comprehend his “senseless lyrics”.

As long as we continue to make such ignorant (and arrogant) comments, we all might as well be back constructing railroads, being slaves, put in labor camps and hunted down like animals. We need to stand up for ourselves and not let petty issues divide our races from within. Only then we can unify ourselves as a whole and work together as one race of the human kind.

Yo 4real this bout da realest thing to hit the streets yet. I see comments bout its racist and he just doin it to start controversy and yaddy yaddy yah….da song pretty much sayin that everybody wanna use da word nigga but when it come down to it, nobody wanna be a nigga but niggas.(dats what we was labeled as from the beginnin) As a people we came from the bottom and since we movin up a lil bit we done took that as a word of endearment between each other cause wont nobody in the US treated as “niggers” were except the people who actually risked their lives to touch the soil of this land. and to this day things still are not equal. Very Powerful video. It’s too bad that wouldn’t see the time of day unless they edit it like crazy. MTV would quicker show it than BET and that’s sad.
