Miami Memorial Weekend 08
I was out in Miami for Memorial weekend, my first trip out there for that holiday. It was a ghetto mess out there lol. Don’t get me wrong, there was plenty of nice looking ladies and it was warm, but I had a horrible string of bad luck. Pics and my story below…
It started off bad by me making a rookie mistake and paying a $100 for a cab to my damn hotel. Then it starts pouring rain when I finally reach the strip. So I’m like aight a lil bad luck, it will wear off. I hit up a basketball game that I didn’t know was in the hood lol. So It ends like 10 p.m. and its pouring rain. The rain isn’t the main problem, I been calling cab companies since halftime and I see none in sight, aint that a bitch. The crowd starts emptying and things are looking bleak. A cop had to stop a cab and we had to fit 6 people in it, since cabs don’t come to that area. So if I didn’t get that cab I would of been stranded in Liberty City. I get back an try to hit up club Mansion. Shit is crazy crowded in the front and cops is out there starting up. So my supposed hook up was going to get me in free but that flopped miserably so I didn’t get into any club that night.
Day 2 was looking promising, I was suppose to interview Fab and hit up his pool party. I hit up the pool party and the security is like your not getting in no matter who you name or call, s.o.b., I named his managers, the person that invited me, it ain’t matter got the shit played out of me LOL. I mean its part of the game to get played, I’m sure if it was some girls it would of been no problem. So no pool party or interview, I was in horrible mood, don’t remember what I did with my day. I was ready to come back to NY after that shit. I hit up a club that night. I’m not use to paying for a club, but I had to drop $60 to get into Opium. $60 dollars for a regular ass party with mostly chicks sitting down. Day 2 was again another flop and losing streak was looking bad.
By Day 3 I was sick of Miami and really would of left early if I could of. There was a lot of eye candy but the streets was full of dudes so every girl had been hollered at 100 times. Some of the girls were actually prostitutes looking for business, hard to tell who was and who wasn’t. There were a lot of nice whips, bently’s , lamborghini’s, ferrari’s and customized cars all over. I hit up Jadakiss party that night @ Cameo for $75. Later on that night they were charging $200 for entry. I actually had fun that night, don’t think is was $75 worth of fun though lol.
All in all Miami is a cool time, I’m sure if my luck wasn’t so bad I would of had a better time. Not sure about going back next year, but if I do I will learn from my mistakes.

Unfortunately I was also in South Beach for Memorial Weekend, this was my 2nd year going, all in all shit was a jungle out there. The mistakes you made could’ve been avoided but it was your first time, if you go next year you’ll be straight.

I was out there this year also.. What a mistake.. I think its good to experience it once but I do not understand how people go back year after year.. I prefer Miami in the off season…Not a go next year…

I travel a lot and if you are going to a big city it is best to have 3 different plans just in case things aren’t working out. Plan A B C and even D is cool. Maybe you should have rented a car in Miami–that sounds like it would have been cheaper than cabbing–(be sure to have several yahoo maps to different places that you may want to go to. plus–either take your own date to miami with you–or try to pre-plan some dates on the internet so that you will have women there anxious to meet you–try yahoo personals or something–I never rely on people for getting into parties–I try to have something in writing or a pass to show the door people before i get there plane. At the door is no time to name drop!

yo son, not for nothing but i feel everything you said. miami in general is overrated. if you not really gettin it in like that, you not really gonna enjoy yaself. i went on memorial day weekend a few years ago and i knew at that moment i wasn’t coming back..i paid like $150 to get into a party that Diddy or Fat Joe had at Mansion….i couldnt enjoy the shit cause it was so fuckin crowded…the police dont want none of us there and they let you know that. the women are fly, but you can’t tell who’s working and who’s not. the miami natives leave for the weekend cause they want no parts of the riff raff….maybe im getting too old for this shit, but i wasn’t the least bit impressed…i’ve been to miami since then, in fact i was in mia 2 weeks ago…shit is still not that impressive.
