Why is everbody getting on Ice T dude was right about what he said towards soulja boy. But then again i don’t even look at soulja boy as an hiphop artist to where i would say that he killing hiphop. He’s is a rap artist and i look at him as a rap artist who make music just for the money and not for the love of it. And as far as his music go’s i wouldn’t say that his music is garbage i would say that it very catchy and entertaining which is probably good now and day. But as far as quality materials he has non what so ever and i really don’t look at him as a hiphop artist.
Hiphop is something more inspirational educational and real it suppose to send a message as it feed you knowledge. Rap music on the other hand doesn’t do that rap music is filled with nothing but entertainment. Don’t get me wrong im not saying that rap music is bad but it’s not inspirational nor educational or real. And that what soulja boys music expresses it nothing inspirational nor educational or real. I mean if soulja boy had to struggle to get where he at then why don’t he talk about that. I mean he shouldn’t try to defend hisself and get mad once he found out that he was diss by Ice T and then say how he work so hard. He should start off by proving hisself and rap about the struggle that he been through. Or just rap about different type beside crankin that hoe. Because at this point i don’t look at him as a rapper i look at him as a entertainer. I also wouldn’t say that he killing hiphop being that his music is not hiphop. There a few bad thing i could say about soulja boy and that is that he is not talented and he has know skills what so ever. And there nothing special about his music that he’s bring into rap. As far as hiphop he’s know where close to being a hiphop artist and probably never will be. And i wouldn’t say that Ice T is hatin on soulja boy being that dude is a legend in the game. this is like apples vs oranges. soulja boy is an entertainer/rapper not a hip hop artist. if he considers himself as hip hop, then ice t has the right to give an opinion about that, just as ice cube did with his last album. the history of hip hop is full of artist attacking entertainers/rappers, saying they are killing the music. Hammer, vanilla ice, 2 live crew, and many others were discredited as artists because of the type of music they made. Soulja boy should have responded with the fact that he is not hip hop and never was instead of trying to hi-side on ice t. you use facts to make opinions look silly, but since he is only 17, he responded as a child would. in the future we must remember that hip hop and rap are different but both are important, so lets not indulge or promote the beef that comes up between these artists because that will lead us to the death of a lot of good music.

Ice T was frustrated at the state of hip hop. A lot of us are. BUT he shouldn’t have hated on soulja boy for doin what he do. He should have sent soulja boy a copy of Bamboozled, and EDUCATED him as to why his music is fucked up, show him how to do it better.

Soulja don’t realize how much of an impact he has on these kids, and he probably doesn’t give a fuck. soulja boy is crap. he sounds just plain RETARDED when he “raps.” his “style” sounds like hes got a mouth full of dick when he talks.

I didnt always like Soulja boy but I learned to after I figured he is hard worker. For one, the whole story behind Crank that at least he hid the meaning respecting the fact that people like him have little kids who dont want them to hear that instead of coming out like usual rappers & two he does work hard for what he does and I think Ice T should know better than this he is freggin 50 something if you dont like the game change it. You dont find most hard working kids his age we should be proud no matter what
