Jay-Z talks about how he first started rapping and growing up in Bed-Stuy. He said he started rapping at the age of 9 and also saw someone get shot at that age. He goes on to say the thought of ever being broke again motivates him to succeed. Its a funny interview worth the watch.

Once again, how can people accept this?
I feel sorry for my brothers&sisters in U.S! the government is fuckin u guys all the time, and I know some people is wondering why I say the government, but if u smart enough, u’re gettin what Im saying!
I have question, why is black people so targeted? To have a black skin is to be a victim of this white world, in all situations! don’t get me wrong I have a lot of white, hispanics,arabians, asian friends and so on and so on! But everywhere u go, outside of africa, black people is receiving racist comments, mistrusted, looked as lower kind of people and all kind of stupid shiiit, that pisses me of! And I’ve been around the world my brother! I’ve seen parents telling their kids to hate black people, and I know for a fact that a black guy or black woman have never bothered them, matter of fact they had’nt met a black person, until they saw me! Where does this fear come from? Because it is FEAR of the black race, which is causing this hate, they know and I know it!
U know what I think, the history of Africa is scaring them, so much that they had to burn it up! They don’t want u to know that black people was the first people on this planet, cause then black people would be the standard(if we can talk about people in those way) and the white race wouldn’t feel as proud anymore(this is no diss to white people)! If u look in the movies, observe the hero, its called brainwashing, the agenda of hollywood!
If u believe in Allah, then u can read for urself that the adam and eve was made of mud, which colour does it have, black!
If u ask an scientist where the first person is found, he or she would tell u that it is in ogadhaaden, the land between Somalia and Ethiopia! ¨
Ask urself why black people been hunted since u can remember or read in history how they been treated, and tell me Im wrong!

The more I listen to Jay-z in his interviews the less and less smart he sounds. I know he’s a multimillionaire and he’s a brilliant rapper but to me, he does not come across as an astute businessman like other black moguls (i.e. Fifty Cent, Master P, Russell Simmons, P.Diddy, and even his former partner Damon Dash). I know his net worth is suppose to be very high even higher than some of the people I named earlier but he does not come across as smart as those guys. SO MY QUESTION TO YOU HIP HOP HEADS IS- Is Jay making these business moves or is it his financial adviser (John Meneilly)? Or is Jay just a bad interviewee and I’m blowing it out of proportion?

This interview was funny as hell! Say what you want about his face, but the personality is sexy as I don’t know what–so are the glasses (they’ve grown on me finally)! And am I the only one who caught how easily he avoided that Beyonce being his wife question? Dude is a pro at that shit! And for the guy who said he doesn’t “sound” intelligent, what does intelligence sound like then? Because for a dude who doesn’t have an education beyond the age of 16 but manages to have an extensive vocabulary and who managed to have more money than ANY rap mogul without a business degree, I’d say that’s intelligence. No matter who you work with, you can’t get as far as Jay has without being smart, I’m sorry.

To #27: This was not an interview that Jay was suppose to come off as being an astute businessman. He was obviously playing (reacting) off the host and the host’s reputation. Plus could you PLEASE distinguish Jay’s ventures and accomplishments from his competitors. He doesn’t do movies & TV some of them do, Jay does real estate some of them don’t, Rocawear and Artful Dodger are better brands than G-Unit clothing and Phat Farm right now. He’s part owner of an NBA franchise the others aren’t. He promoted Armadale, Belvedere, and now Ace of Spade so Diddy promotes Ciroc. That’s just what I feel like writing because you know it’s deeper. Every successful businessman has a good team anyway so props to a competent financial advisor.
