Common Set To Play A Role In Terminator 4
Rapper Common has signed on to co-star in “Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins” for Halcyon Pictures. Story centers on John Connor (Bale), now in his 30s, who leads what is left of the human race in a battle against the machines. Common will play a freedom fighter and member of Connor’s inner circle.

Common is building his resume up the smart way, one small role at a time.

They should cast “real” black actors instead of all these rappers turn actors. Great talented young black actors like Larenz Tate and Omar Epps for example can’t get any good roles becauase rappers get all the parts.

A lot of rappers study the craft and do good jobs in there roles. eg/Mos Def, Common, and Andre 3000 not to mention those who arent even considered rappers anymore because they are moreso actors eg/Will Smith, Queen Latifah, Ice Cube. I think hip hop fans wanna see rappers in films. Its a formula that works!! Furthermore rappers aren’t taking roles away from actors because without hip hop a lot of these roles wouldn’t exist. I think actors and everyone else needs to stop trying to rap!!

@Ryan Glover
Hmm…the thing is a lot of times when directors are looking for a black actor the pick the rappers because they are more well known. It’s not the rappers fault though but I do agrre with @1 and @2 it’s a shame that many black actors have problems getting good film parts cause directors prefer to go with the rappers instead of the skilled actors.

so looking at 4’s agreement with 1 and 2, while understanding 3’s….
im thinkin..
is it really the rapper’s fault if a director wants to cast them over actors that don’t rap?

Why da fuck do people on here hate sooo damn much! Its a damn shame! Big ups to Common. Let the nigga get his gwaup. Damn! No of these rappers are taking lead roles from talented black acters. Its what the director perfers for his or her film. Fuck Heads! Look at the Will Smith, Ice Cube, LL Cool J’s of the world. Do they not have successful acting careers? Get off of this RealTalkNY shit, and go make some money for a change so you all can stop hatin on others.

But that’s exactly what I said. It’s not the rappers fault. They take advatages of the opportunities they get like anyone else would do.
