Remy Ma Faces Eight Years In Jail
Remy Ma’s wedding plans are up in the air. But a judge has made definite plans for the Grammy-nominated rapper: eight years in prison for shooting a woman outside a Manhattan nightclub.
The state Supreme Court sentence was handed Tuesday to the 26-year-old rapper, whose real name is Remy Smith, for assault, weapon possession and attempted coercion.

Eight years is a long ass time, she better hope for a successful appeal. Papoose was in the court screaming, “All you want is money,” to the victim and telling officers lock him up. So people out there with guns, don’t think you can just pop people and think it’s all good.

Here in New York, because a gun was involved, she has to do at least 85% of her time, hence the Shyne situation. He’s not eligible for parole until October 2009. There are ways to get out of it, like work release or halfway programs, etc. But you still have to do 85% combined in the system
