Song is nice! Very different perspective than your average teenage singer. She has a Rihanna like voice to IMO. I jus don’t know if people will bite (being this is her 1st single), b/c u have to lure people in with club/dance music first b4 u hit’em w/ sumthin’ like this. Sad but tru.

Cyber Bully and Ins, holla @ me after first week sales (it drops June 15th). Like I said b4 I really like what she’s doin’, but this isn’t your 1ST SINGLE! If anything a 2nd or 3rd. Karina is obviously talented, but I DID SAY it’s sad that u have to bait people in wit a radio friendly song.
By the way I am in the music biz (not tellin’ who I’m affiliated w/), but everyone has their own opinion. I’m not an A&R, but a producer/beatmaker and I understand that people as individuals are SMART, but da general public not so much. Wit that said “16 @ War” limits yaself 2 the masses right off the bat.

lol.. I listen to the song and critic from a male point of view but when I really think about it you wonder why these children really feel the way they do sometimes.
Its nice to see someone whether ginuine or not try to step outside the mold albeit into the new mold made by you know who! Thanks to Clive…

^^^^^^^^^The main reason artist DON’T sell is b/c they (and the A&R) shoot themeselves in the head/foot by choosin’ the wrong 1st single (and or 2nd, 3rd). Now u honestly have to ask yaself “Does this song actually have a legit chance 2 BLOW?!” and if u tell me yes then say no more. U do understand that if she doesn’t do well in the begining stages (1st month) of her album debut, THERE MIGHT NOT BE A 2ND VIDEO! Record companies are pullin’ the plug on yo ass if u ain’t cuttin’ it. Therefore thats why I say 2nd single. I know she’s not a cliche artist that doesn’t want 2 make cheesy club songs. It’s jus all about TIMING!!!!!
I hope she goez thru the roof wit her album and airbody checks her out weather it be bought or bootleg! Good music, point blank, period.

Real 2 cents… Its on the marketing. listening to this song as a child male I would (do have) responses as a female I can relate as a younger person I can get a glimpse of whats a head and a an adult I can see what is on my young sisters minds… but they would never try to market it like that because a movement may arise and at the end of the day if someone can’t bleed your pockets they don’t wanna bother!
Nobody wants to back a song like this cause its somthin of substance and we don’t do substance anymore..Ex. See sean bell’s verdict and the results!
Why do we have money anyways?

#14 mal….this is a prodigy this girl played her piano and sang fallen for alica keys a little itty girl, idolizing wanting to be like, emulating… then in a flash of time she is looking all ready for the world with a record deal,
she is a prodigy, but i agree record labels expecting too much 2 soon, what her marketing team need to do is is use the old video of her singing for alicia and market her as the next big thing, then the fans will follow.
but so far i think this song has potential, nowadays these young singers have to be multi talented to be taken seriously though, she should also look into acting and affiliating her self with either nickelodeon or Disney where the fans r at.
but to honest if tiffany couldnt do well with help from ciara and bow wow, then her chances r slim cause this girl cant sing like tifanny, but she is coming with that real muci that people want to support, i say have her marketed like monica was when she jus came out.
i wonder if tiffany evans failed album sails at 4000 will reflect on there willingness to push an artist like karina… this downloading thing is really stopping some new stars from being made.
I like this song, I wish Karina the best. I was slightly surprised to learn The Dream penned the lyrics. Nice job.

people need to get a clue. this song doesn’t make her “conscious” about anything considering she didn’t even write the song. listen to the original and you’ll hear she doesn’t even know what she’s singing. the s in debris is silent. shave the stash.

talented… defiently a good song… reminds me of a young alicia keyes
I like it, and i dont even like r&b. Or teen singers, or girl singers, or ‘concious’ (sp) music so props.
