cosign 2. Sometimes Pharrell’s beats are like Timbaland, in that they overshadow whoever on the mic. Common need them NO I.D., J Dilla beats so you could hear what the fuck he sayin. One of Common biggest flaws is he step out of his lane, case in point

  4. akb1 Says:

pharell beats dont always overpower the rhymes .. for example the beats he does for the clipse you still get the full effect from their 16 bars… however common is not the clipse and his poetic style fits better with kanye, noid, dilla, etc beats

  5. whoa Says:

somebody tell that nigga to put kanye on the album…just got finished listenin to kweli “in the mood”…yo common put that nigga ye on da album lol

  6. ... Says:

common’s last two albums felt the same to me. and his flow never really changed up so i got bored, REGARDLESS of how potent his lyrics were to other listeners.

this beat doesn’t fit him, in my opinion =)

  7. DIRTY.DUNNZ Says:

I’m glad to hear Common switch it up. He took it back to the Afrika Bambataa days. And guess what…he was spitting hot lyrics on a party track. I hate when ppul say, “you can’t be lyrical on a party song.” Well this song proves that you can be lyrical, all you need is a good hook and a tight beat to move ppul’s feet.

  8. Tamika Says:

I like this. An ode to Afrika Bambaataa. Nice.

  9. Pounce Says:

This beat is crazy lol. Doesnt sound like its been mastered. His vocals sound to low over the instrumental.

  10. James Says:

The sh#t is crazy. Something different just what the game needs. The hook reminds me of Afrika Bambataa

  11. Jimmy Says:

cosign wit 6. he sound weird on da beat cuz he seem like more of a soulful dude but thatz not how he’s comin off on this track. He need 2 use common sense and stick to wat he was doin on Be.

  12. Isiah Bradley Says:

the beat is good, the chorus is ass.

  13. IbisDaze Says:

    Whats up the synth pop….???

  14. KnowledgeProductions Says:

Being a common fan for time…i gotta say i am really disappointed, this is not a good sound…why common

  15. MaL Says:

Are me and Dirty Dunz (#7) the only ones feelin’ this?!!? I’m a Common fan and I think it’z ridin’ like a mofo. U do have 2 understand that he is an “ARTIST”! He doesn’t have 2 be limited 2 a Dilla/Kanye/No I.D. type sound. Plus it’s not like this is a single, eventho I think it could be if it had a BIGGER hook.

  16. MaL Says:

    O, I see 8,9, and 10 diggin’ it 2. My bad. lol

  17. Moreno Says:

shiiit i feel lika break dancin to this…i like

  18. yomamma Says:

i’m REALLY feeling this one..destined to be a HUGE summer club banger

  19. Real Says:

In the chorus when pharrell said nigga this that new shit kind of throw me off, i guess i am tired of hearing that word. Dude u now you know u like this would of been better. Little things like that brings ppl are draws them away.
