Rapper Murdered Over Comment During Rap Battle
Police say there was a rap battle, in which participants come up with insulting rhymes aimed at their competitors. 28-year-old Antoine Tramble became angry at something a 27-year-old rapper said, so he left the home and then returned with a gun. Tramble opened fire, killing the man, police said. The victim’s name has not been released.
Damn you got to get a gun because he stylin on you? If your that sensitive rap battles aren’t for you. Keep the beef on tracks like the famous rappers do.
Props to Chris

April 18th, 2008 at 2:35 pm
man i love hiphop im a big fan (tupac especially and old school shit mostly)…but damn sometimes when i think about it, hip hop’s really a horrible influence on society.
it’s like every black man has somethin to prove all cuz of this music. U go to a club, u got ppl who can’t just have fun, they gotta b maintain a fake image, little nongangbagin kids sag theyre jeans, talk bad about everything positive like school,jobs having positive goals.
it’s like hiphop came in and said forget about positive goals and dreams.smoke, sell drugs and brag about it to get respect, dont get a job real niggaz don’t work, don’t go to school it’s hopeless..
..even kids that don’t have to sell drugs do it just 4 respect and credibility.
it’s like hiphop is good if it’s told in the right way like tupac 4 example where you showcase positive and negative and you give hope. but now rappers don’t really tell the story right and it’s really destroying the black community
now even just regular freestyles turn into a case where u gotta prove your a criminal wut happened to just rippin the mic and proving mic skills

April 18th, 2008 at 2:51 pm

@truth
Good post. I could be wrong but It seems like a lot of people take hiphop very seriously in America. It seems like it’s more than just music to you guys, streetcred, fashion etc, especially to a big part of the black american youth who seem to use it to identify themselves and if you don’t do it you get accused of not acting or dressing black. Am I right? I’m a black man from France and it’s not the same thing over here or any other part of Europe so this is an American thing. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

28 year old dude killed a 27 year old GOT DAMN that means homboy was a grown ass man. i mean im thinking that it was a bunch of 14/15 year old grammar school kids. but a grown ass man see a dude like that show you how sensitive he is. and he probably live in his momma’s house keepin guns under his pillow or in his drawer like a big baby…lol
April 18th, 2008 at 5:19 pm
He must’ve released some serious secrets about that dude in that battle. Sad day.
For one, Detroit is the wrost city in America (for Blacks). Period. Maybe New Orleans, Philly, Camden, or STL are close, but Detroit is really rough.
And some of these comments are right, youth AND adults in this country take MUSIC and entertainment too far. It isnt’t just rap. There are other genres messing with people’s minds, but hip hop is all we Blacks have to identify ourselves with for the most part. But it does stream deeper than the music. It goes into the home front and the communities.
April 18th, 2008 at 5:27 pm
Ok, if we start accepting this like we accept all that other senseless violence,it will only be wack rappers wit guns in the game.GAME OVER!

If this guy loved Hip Hop so much that he had to kill someone over a rap battle then he got serious psychological issues. Nothing on this planet is worth killin a person for. How’s about a rapper, especially a gangsta rapper, come out and denounce this type of shit before people start whining. Too many people react, hows about rappers pre-empt this shit.
April 18th, 2008 at 10:11 pm
DAMN i just thought about it, and i guess Alicia Keys is right gangsta rappers is a ploy to convince black people to kill each other, well it not like i never judge her even tho she still never grew up listening to gangsta rap, but DAMN i ain’t gonna lie about her being right being that she had a point.

yall lookin a little too far into this…if the nigga was that unstable, he mighta shot a nigga for lookin at him the wrong way. he mighta shot a nigga for steppin on his air one’s…niggas be tryin to find a reason to blame some shit on hip hop. imma keep it 100, if a nigga say sumthin to me and i feel disrespected, that nigga might get his head popped off b….yall gonna blame that shit on hip hop too cuz i come on this site and listen to rap music? wtf lol the nigga wasnt feelin whatever homie said, got his strap and shot the nigga…shit happens everyday, just not necessarily at a rap battle. dont be so quick to use hip hop as a scapegoat. if u dont like gangsta rap, dont listen to it. maybe the shit aint for everybody. listen to kanye, mos def, kweli the roots….the gangsta rap genre been around since the 80’s, the shit aint new. now its a lotta niggas who wanna be gangstas that fake, but shit been like that since who knows when. that shit didnt start when gangsta rap started

@WHITE BREAD……..CHICAGO
She never said she didn’t grow up listening to gangsta rap. Alicia Keys grew up listening to all type of hiphop music inlcluding R&B and classic music. Hiphop is part of the music she likes.
April 19th, 2008 at 10:12 am
#21 d-12′… im sure she listen to hiphop but growing up listening to straight hiphop oppose to your real female artist like lil kim or foxy brown. alicia never grew up like them to the point where she understand hiphop like your real female hiphop artist. if it was lil kim or foxy who said that then ok but as for alicia she should basically stick to supporting R&B period. for example i grow up listening to hiphop and R&B but i grew up more on hiphop. and for me being more of an hiphop fan i can tell you more about hiphop then R&B. yes i listen to R&B but if i have know clue on what im talkin about as far as R&B music then i shouldn’t be speakin on R&B music. not only that there a difference between hiphop and gangsta rap. she probably listen to hiphop but not gangsta rap so she shouldn’t be talkin about it.
April 19th, 2008 at 11:15 am
Anybody that needs a gun to solve some beef is a PUSSY/COWARD/PUNK/whatever u can think of. It’s sad actually when u think about it. I completly agree with #2.
April 19th, 2008 at 12:01 pm
@WHITE BREAD……..CHICAGO
So in your opinion only a “real female rap artist” has the right to talk about hiphop? How do you know she doesn’t understand hiphop that much so she can have an opinion about what’s going on? And how exactly did she grow up? Just because you disagree with her doesn’t mean she doesn’t know what she’s talking about. She expressed her feelings towards something she does feel she has a clue on and she probably has a lot more knowledge about hiphop in general than you and many other hiphop fans.
April 19th, 2008 at 5:06 pm
how do you know that she has more knowledge then me and many other hiphop fan bitch you don’t know me and like you don’t fall into that same catergory. and i wasn’t just saying female rap artist stupid it was an example. and that example had nothing to do with just female rapper having the right to just speak on hiphop. i meant to say gangsta rap anyway im sure she never grew up listening to gangsta rap. and due to that she just doesn’t understand it like most rapper do especially the one who grew up listening to it. and i put lil kim and foxy as an example beside that you need to calm your ass down. cuz i never said that i disagree with her and ended it like that. her making that statement about gangsta rap mean she not a fans of the music which also mean she doesn’t listen to it. and which im sure it mean that she never grew up listening to gangsta music. and my whole thing is if you don’t respect a certain type something that you have know clue about then you shouldn’t speak on it period.
April 19th, 2008 at 7:50 pm
man how do we know if the dude didn’t fuck that other dudes baby moms and came with some “I LEFT CONDOMS ON YOUR BABYSEAT”type of shit.
the difference between new york and detroit is that detroit is its really small small and everyone constantly runs into eachother.they probably knew eachother from before the battle even started.

April 20th, 2008 at 1:15 pm
even in this room ppl still saying they will kill somebody if they SAY something to yu that is wrong. yo if you have a problem lets knuckle up and show some real talent. see guns give cowards something to hide behind. if there were no guns half you dudes wouldnt say a word out of your cowardly mouths. OUR PPL WHITE BLACK OREO GREEN WHATEVER WE NEED TO STOP MAN.
April 20th, 2008 at 8:12 pm
First and foremost a person doesnt need to be in those type of competitions if they cant handle it,regardless of what they say thats what the competition is all about, its not worth killing anybody over. as that saying goes,if you cant take the heat get out of the kitchen. Now the man has ruined his rapping career over something this other dude said in the competition,it doesnt make no sense. People need to not enter those competitions if they arent prepared what the next person may say. Now an innocent life is gone.
