Stop the violence. It’s been KRS One’s message pretty much his entire career. Is he perfect? No, and I don’t agree with everything he says but if you think he’s dissing ppl in interviews because he believes in ceratain things at the end of the day it’s VERBAl so how does that make him a hypocrite? Communication is the key to success. It is way too much violence out there and as many artists as possible need to step up and promote positivity so when something like this happens at a “Stop the violence concert” I just have to SMH.

This only happens in hip hop.Fans or other rappers are more likely to have no respect for older rappers or rappers in general. In rock music , soul music, jazz music, you got young kids picking up the saxaphone and they can recognize John Coltrane and Charlie Parker and them, if they pick up the drums and guitars they still respect Jimi Hendrix and the Doors etc, and if you young singers, they recognize Aretha and the Temptations. In hip hop, there’s always bashing the next rapper or old rapper. it’s fucked up but it’s like that.
