So are black couples not getting married due to growing up in single parent households? Or men are just scared to settle down? I think it is because people depend on sex too much, i dont know. They have all the fun before they get married, and when they get married, its no more interesting or what ever. And sex is very important in a marraige.
Also, im not sure about a couple living together before they are married, because that is more or less living a married life and living like your married.
In conclusion, i think
the society today has made marraige look boring when it aint, and there are examples of maried people in the industry that have not shown good example of being married, maybe apart from Will and Jada.

There are many examples of people who come from single parent households who get married and stay married.
Diddy is only looking for an excuse to continue his life as a playboy (different women, parties..etc). He doesn’t wanna grow up and take responsibility. I guess he’s been living this flashy lifestyle for such a long time now so he thinks it’s too difficult to change.
Life is a journey and marriage is part of that journey for most people. Nobody said marriage is easy…I’m sure it takes a lot of hard work. I wanna get married someday in the future(I’m 20).

It is a statement with potential for a lot of truth. It may just be one of the realest things he ever said. It’s true that children often times unintentionally take on a similar relationship that emulates the one they were raised in. Another reason is that it’s a different time altogether from the days of marriage. Our younger generation is more comfortable not being joined in matrimony and is familiar and accepting of the concept that nothing lasts forever. I never want to get married. It’s just not something I set as a priority or even a long term goal.

2 out of 3 marriages end in divorce in the state of CA. It might be higher in NY. Marriage structure started to die when hoes wanted to be treated equal. Then it was really killed when shows like who wants to marry a millionaire started promoting gold diggers as respectable women. It definitely affects our next generations of kids when they watch those shows or I love NY ect. Presidents getting dome and lying about it didnt help. A bunch of shit that most of us dont really pay attention to or at least care about but helped deteriorate what marriage stands/stood for when our grandparents got married.
