i understand what yal are saying . but how can it be when wtheyve had rap acts before ? they werent in a uproar then ? The real question is , if jay was still on the bill but wasnt headlining would anybody have complained . the answer is NO !!! and i still think if Eminem was headlining maybe the tickets wouldnt have sold , but the other bands wouldnt have complained like they did

I would object and I’m not racist at all. Glastonbury isn’t solely for alternative/indie artists. As someone said, it’s represented by all different types of acts but that rap is at the bottom of the bill. It should have a wide range of muscians, you would expect so much with different artists playing. But if Oasis said that they wanted to do Summer Jam it would be odd because it caters to hip hop/r&b fans period and nothing more. I’m sorry but it does have a slight undertone of racism when it’s such a big big big big deal that Jay-Z is the headliner. It doesn’t mean Muse is running around in blackface and there isn’t a single person paying for tickets because of Jay. But that it’s a little interesting how the critics are looking at this in the way where it seems more than just the dislike of a rapper being up there as the main act.

I’ve spent a lot of time in the UK. They don’t really listen to hiphop over there. I doesn’t make sense for Jay to headline if the audience doesn’t like his music.
