Yeah you’re reaching. No, I don’t consider Kellz nor Ush as the king of R&B. I will say though that Kellz is the King of his generation, from the New Jack swing era (late 80s) to today.
Having a better singing voice is not enough to crown someone the king/Queen. It’s the complete package and longetivity and hit songs that makes an artist a legend, superstar..etc. I mean you can go to any church and find people with great voices. Gospel singers that nobody heard of who can easily outsing many of the mainstream artists. Many of the best singers in todays R&B/soul music aren’t necessarily the biggest stars (Selena Johnson, Jill Scott,Kelly Price, Joe, Dwele, Kem..etc) R&B singer Joe for example has an amazing voice but he still has nothing on R.Kelly when it comes to being the full package. R.Kelly is a musical genius who has been dropping classic shit for almost 20 years now. He’s also one of the pioneers when it comes to mix R&B and hiphop together. He’s a legend in R&B music for a reason. Usher is another great R&B artist and has been doing his thing since the mid 90s. He’s a real entertainer with lots of great tracks. It’s just crazy to even think about mention Jamie Foxx when we talk about who’s the king of R&B only because in “your opinion” he has a better singing voice than R.Kelly and Usher that ish don’t make any sense at all.

i love this remix. now with that out of the way, beyonce don’t sing r&b , she is a pop singer she even call herself a pop singer. this whole king of…….., queen of……, is prue BS. ya’ll going back forth on this is stupid as hell. why they need titles. beyonce isn’t the best and neither is usher. they are EXTREMELY TALANTED but not the best. wezzzy’s part kind of took away from it though.

Everybody should think of themselves as a King or a Queen so there is nothing wrong with that. They are the best in my opinion because everything they touch sells like hotcakes.
