50 Cent Returns to Gaming

And for anyone who wasn’t satisfied with 2005’s multimillion-selling “Bulletproof,” the game’s producer hears you. This one is going to be better.

“Once we get the game out there … I think people will realize right away where our focus for the sequel is,” Vivendi Games producer Aaron Blean told MTV News. “We’ve emphasized the gameplay quality [more] than anything this time around. We can’t wait to show the game around.” [ read more ]

Yeah, let’s hope this second attempt proves to be a major improvement from that last clunky piece of trash. 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand is set in a location that producers are keeping under wraps — looks like some kind of spin on Call of Duty. The game will be using the Unreal Engine 3 found in megahits such as Gears of War and Gears of War 2. Producers also say that this time around players will be able to use vehicles, new weapons, and play co-op missions with friends as Tony Yayo, DJ Whoo Kid, and Lloyd Banks (no Young Buck…hmm). All in all, things look pretty good, for now.

I wonder if Fat Joe will make an appearance.
