Homecoming was one of the weaker tracks on Graduation to me… True Kanye fans from the Chi like me, know that he recycled this whole song from a couple years ago… and the other one was hotter. And btw the Flashing Lights video IS finished. He was just on some real artistic shit but if you break it down it makes perfect sense…

In the song, Kanye is away from home a lot and cheats on his girlfriend. Papparazzi takes a picture of him in the act and his girlfriend finds out. He tries to apologize and make up for it but she isn’t hearing it.
Flashing Lights = Papparazzi
in the video she walks away, strips down and burns her clothes, leaves her shoes on.
He says “She dont believe in shootin stars, But she believe in shoes and cars”
Sooo, you basically see a woman scorned in the video, getting her revenge.
“But I never thought that you would take it this far. what do I know?”
Also notice that instead of burning the car with him it, she kills him so that she doesnt fuck up the car, which also refers back to the first line in the song.
And there you have it.
No Im not a kanye “stan” I just recognized where he was coming from and although I think he couldve achieved what he wanted in a better way. Kanye did what he wanted. Point blank.. I wouldve liked to see a video for I wonder. That would be interesting

this song is so old to me, it was one of the first songs to be leaked off the album before it was released. But white people will love this in stadium tours, they can do they little white hugging, and white swaying and sing allong with they white friends,

Word Up # 6… its dope track re-done…but Home from 03 had those classic Ye drums… and it was Ill!!
but Flashing lights video is done… and it a real intelectual video..(despite Rita) but it is really a huge metaphor…

Flashing Lights video is aesthetically on point and pleasantly enigmatic. Just take as it is and accept to think outside your standards..
As far as the single choice it is absolutely the right one to me.
This song has a great international appeal and still reps for Chi-Town

Kanye west is probably the 3rd best as a lyrical artist hes raw hes too good but problem with kanye hes more for those radio HIts but i love him hes my fav. and my favorite song is HOMECOMING so its coo
