Preview of Lil Romeo’s New Reality Show
Damn everyone got a reality show, the life and times of RealTalkNY is coming out this winter. The press release on the how is below.
World famous teen entertainer/athlete Romeo is in production on Romeo’s World: Welcome to the Good Life – a reality TV series with a positive message.
“Reality TV is just cameras following you around and if you own the cameras and the production company then you own the content so you are able to control the series,” said Romeo who is bringing independence to reality TV the same way his father Master P brought independence to hip-hop 15 years ago.
The show aims to give viewers a glimpse into Romeo’s busy life at school, on the court, and around the town. The series will follow Romeo from high school, to the prom, through graduation and into college as a student athlete.
Romeo’s World: Welcome to the Good Life emphasizes the importance of education, hard work, entrepreneurship, and a positive attitude as elements that contribute to Romeo’s healthy and successful lifestyle and serves as constructive programming for today’s youth.
“A lot of people get caught up with the hype and what other people want you to do,” said Romeo. “I always make sure I’m doing what I love doing and I think that goes a long way.”
Despite Romeo’s celebrity status, he is still a teenager that goes to a regular public high school, and is now on his way to becoming a top student athlete in his sport of choice, basketball. Ironically, some have questioned Romeo’s decision to attend college at USC in the fall.
“I decided to go to college because it’s probably the best thing someone can do to further their education, and it’s something important to me and my family,” said Romeo.
Networks across the nation are vying to be a part of this reality show due in part to the ongoing writers strike. You can help Romeo pick a network for his series by participating in a poll on officialromeo.com and myspace.com/romeo and vote for the channel you’d like to see Romeo’s World airing on.
Viewers will also be invited to logon and watch a live streaming feed of Romeo’s World on Yahoo! and MySpace (exact webcast dates and times will be announced shortly.)
The production company responsible for the show is owned by Romeo himself and will be producing similar programming for other celebrities and star athletes.

much love to romeo…im not a fan of his music but i respect what he’s doing…going to college and playing ball doing things he loves to do…i respect any young black person tryna better themself…especially when they don’t have to…he could just sit there and do nothing with his life but he’s tryna better himself and his education…i can’t hate on that…and clipz, how does he have so little talent when he’s an all-american basketball player? just because hes not a good rapper doesnt mean that hes not talented in other areas…some people just love to hate.

Yeah man i respect what he is doing. I also think he is kinda of a good role model to people his age. No violence, no overated and over sex talk, no drugs no nothing, and he is still a man! You don’t have to do those things to show or prove you are a man! His date to the prom is cute too!

I definitely got mad respect for Romeo. I got to cosign #6. Romeo does not have to do any of this. He got his own money (separate from his dad) and he could do like the rest of the younguns in the game i.e. bow wow, omarion, now soulja boy and just talk about shit. I remember back in the day bow wow said when he got old enough he wanted to play college ball at Duke. I seriously doubt bow wow had/has the skills to play on Duke team (men’s or women’s)and I SERIOUSLY doubt he’s got the academic power to go there either. Romeo is showing kids that its not all about getting money. Education is the most important and indispensible commodity that any person can own. And that’s real talk

This boy was raised by a father that actually took interest in him all the way through and now he and his son are reaping the benefits of hard work, dedication and most importaintly love. How could anyone make a negative comment about that? Our community, out of ALL communities needs more of our men getting involved in the upbringing of their children.
