This was a planned publicity stunt timed to influence the jury,” said Michael Palladino, president of the Detectives Endowment Association, adding that it shows why the cops opted for a trial before a judge, not a jury.

But Paultre-Bell’s lawyer, Sanford Rubenstein, said his client views the ad as “uplifting.” Rubenstein insisted it was not exploitive of his client to use her children and the death of her fianc?e to sell baggy jeans and polo shirts.

Damn people will always find something negative to say. So what if she is getting paid, she has a family to raise without a husband. It is not like she is trying to exploit the tragedy that occurred. Also why would Rocawear do an ad with her in hopes of affecting a jury?

Michael Palladino needs to stop his mess. It’s okay with him to shoot a man 50 times; but, the victim’s family can’t be in an artist’s clothing ad. One has nothing to do with the other. Sickening.

  7. The County of Kings Says:

after this , i hope all victims of injustice do clothing ads for BLACK CLOTHING, before the white brands start to copy the successful media grabbing black idea, as always.

that detective association dude sounds stupid how could they plan this ad to influence a jury, and the cops already opted for a trial by judge. i’m sure the Bell Family was well aware of that already when they did the ad.
fact is no rocawear ad can influence a jury on this execution by the NYPD, they wanted a judge cuz they couldnt find a jury that doesnt already have they minds made up on their guilty verdicts, due to media coverage.
i pray its atleast a thousand of us outside that courthouse, they wont rodney king us, hell no. Wheres a dead prez song when u need it
