Beyonce Is Set To Play Etta James In An Upcoming Film
While speaking to Cedric the Entertainer on his latest film, ‘Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins’, he mentioned to blackfilm.com that Beyonce has been cast to play famed singer Etta James on his next film, ‘Cadillac Records’.
The story is about Leonard Chess, the legendary founder of the South Side Chicago blues label Chess Records. The period piece follows the rise and fall of Chess Records, which launched the careers of such R&B greats as Muddy Waters, Etta James and Chuck Berry.
Good to see Beyonce taking her acting seriously and picking the right roles.

Realtalkny you kinda late on this news but singing is what Beyonce does best so if playing a singer is the roles she likes then so be it. This will probably be another box office hit for her since her fans always support her no matter what. I just hope she throws down on my song “at last” because that’s a classic right there. I wish her luck.

I think she’s come along way since the Carmen Hip Hopra thing, she did pretty good in Dreamgirls IMO. She’s growing as an actress hopefully she’ll keep it going.
And she’s not just starring in the movie she’s also one of the EXECUTIVE PRODUCERS go head Ms. Knowles.

#11 you missing my point. My point is she’s the richest woman in rnb whether she can act or not so it don’t matter because they still gon offer her movie roles and she gon be acting whether you think she can act or not.
People don’t understand how the game works. Once you reach a certain level and you on top of the game like Beyonce for instance then you can do anything you want to do. If she wants to do movies then they gonna give her movie roles because she’s Beyonce so she don’t have to be a good actress. That’s one of the benefits of being a high profile celebrity. Now she executive producing shit. I ain’t mad at her she the numba 1 female hustler in da game. That’s how u do it. Make people mad and laugh all the way to da bank. Her and Hov smart as hell.
