I have 2 give it up 2 Ralay, The brother Nas #38 & my man Da truth for speaking the truth. I had a few more things in a reply to address 2s some of these guys on here, but you already conveyed what I was about to say. Everyone has a right to their opinion & can agree to disagree. But I simply cannot condone ignorance. I've had that same opinion about these so called OLD HEADS as some of these kids refer 2 them as. That statement alone shows lack of respect. Oh & a person is jusy supposed to pass you the tourch because your young? LOL!! Get serious man. You have to earn that right there. Krs said it best back in the day. " Some of these people are hopeless, thinking record sells make them the dopest". Latifah also said, " A lot wack rappers went platinum. My thing is this, Hip Hop started & came a long way from the party scene. A long way from, " A hip hop a hippy 2 the hippty hippy hop hop", 2 Run Dmc, Black Moon, Wu Tang & the list goes on. There's nothing wrong with anything new or change. But there isn't 2 much range or people going outside of the box nowadays. A lot of these people are comfortable with what they see 2 copy 2 make money. I have no problem with you making your money, but do I have 2 hear about the same thing in every song? Especially when half, if not @ll the things that your bragging about if false & just for attention. If your a dope MC, your a dope MC. If your skills 2 date don't reflect how dope used 2 be, then you might want 2 consider hanging it up. But like my man said before. If Other genres of music can do it, why can't we? But you just don't get a free pass cause your younger & wack as hell..lol.

To #35 Da Truth. That's the thing. A young generation tends to not listen to the elders. They listen to people that they can relate to in there age range. Jay-Z still manages to pull through to the youth though and he's pushing 40.

My question is this.....If rap is a form of music, then why can't the artists who create it continue to make their craft til they die?

All other music genres have artists who've been making music for decades and who have expanded their fanbase with each generation of music listeners. If thats the case...why is it, that the people who started hip hop as we know it cannot continue to make music without being ridiculed? Is it because every hip hop artist has to be young to remain relevant? We all take advice from our elders right? So then a rapper shouldnt have to be banned from making music just cuz he's gettin older. If elders can give good advice, then Elder rappers can make good music.....thats just my opinion

Im not dissin him, im just giving the facts. He a old head. Time to give it up. Rap is a young mans game now. Like basketball had niggas comin out of highschool every year now college niggas are one and done every year. Its a young mans sport. No more albums if you can get the senior discount at the local sizzler. Go do a radio show or if he have enough money try to invest in the music industry in some capacity but come on with the albums, lets just keep it real. Shits not gonna sell.

And before losers start talkin about niggas not caring about the money they love the music, and all that real hip hop bullshit. Then I say make mixtape and have it be for free then. Droppin singles and doin interviews, and features. You tryin to get paid.

Sorry if I sound bitter, a nigga off a couple hrs of sleep and had to come in to work lol. Big respect to Rakim, but just give it up. Your a legend and im tired of seeing dudes I liked tarish their legacy. Remember every encore aint a good one...
