Very few mainstream artist got their own identity. They all work with pretty much the same people (Producers, songwriters, make up artists, video directors..etc) It’s more than just music it’s a business.

They are all products, and when something works for one artist, then the idustry people (record companies) want everybody who’s doing the same type of music to look alike and sound alike because that’s what sell records. It’s not to try to find original people with original ideas. No, It’s very difficult to have your own ideas cause at the end of the day THE way you look and sound is created by other people. They won’t take any risks.
