the boondocks is one of the most clever shows i’ve seen on the idiot box. i gives you sumthing to think about everytime u watch. when it goes off sumtime u have that nasty taste in your mouth and thats means they struck a nerve somewhere.
and you cant deny “uncle ruckus” that mans hatred is off the charts.
they tackle issues i’ve yet to see other shows tackle. hopefully it dont get too successfull cuz u know that when the white man comes and takes it away

This was definitely one of the most funniest episodes. And it tackled one of the most relevant questions in black society. Will we ever accept an openly gay rapper?…Its so sad because statistically speaking there MUST be a gay rapper. 1 out of every 10 people in America is gay so it gotta be at least 1 out of every 10 rappers. There is no way that EVERY rapper is straight.

I think Lil’ Zane is gay. Obviously people got their opinions about Lil’ Wayne and Baby. People used to say that Tupac was really gay until Suge got a hold of him. But who really knows

I think many of you are missing the point. It’s not about one rapper, it’s about the homo tendencies found in hiphop overall. Niggas wearing tight tank tops, lots of sparkling diamonds, rappers kissin, love for the jail culture, wearin pink, dissin women, gay ass dances, etc. I’ve always felt like today’s mainstream rapper plays to the homo crowd. Even when we have evidence that our fav rapper is gay, we’re still blind to the facts like Riley because it would suggest that we’re gay for lending support. Overall, today’s thug culture is only a smokescreen for the prison gay culture. A celebration of male camaraderie with anti-women sentiments. On the flipside, some rappers are truly recalling past struggles like Beanie Sigel, Scarface, Saigon, etc. Ppul talk greasy about Kanye, but he’s the only rapper to actually bring this conversation to the forefront.

I personally don’t understand how the general public ignores the HOMOSEXUAL acts/lifestyles some of these rappers lead.

Like Queen Latifah, Missy Elliot, Jim Jones, TuPac (Not Sure But Theres Speculation), Little Wayne, Birdman (Calling Another Man Baby Is Just Queer), Mase, LL Cool J, 50 Cent/G-Unit?(With The Exception of Young Buck), Erick Sermon….

Then People always say why isn’t KanYe on a gay rapper, he sure acts like it. I agree, KanYe at times acts queer but I don’t think he is gay, because if you are hiding something you don’t bring it up or even talk about it openly. Go back to that famous interview when he talks about homosexuality. He brings up that whole line of conversation…

Lastly to all of you who follow the trends of rapppers let’s get a few things clear. Rappers who own clothing lines employ the previous employees of popular clothing lines. They employ homosexual o create their “look.”

D and G, Versace, DSquared, True Religion, Armani Exchange, Artful Dodger (Which Is Now Run By Jay-Z But Is Owned By Iconix) Are mostly owned and geared to those of the homosexual lifestyle.

I am in no way bashing any gay people, do what you do as long as it has nothing to do with me. I’m just pointing out the chinks in some of these people stories

I think it’s funny that Riley assumes he is gay, when he is too young to even have a sex drive. Just another example of Riley going with the common perception without understanding it.

Someone once said that if over-emphasis on machismo is often a cover for homoeroticism. I agree with #11, that’s what the subtext of the episode is.

Wow I cant believe how many homophobic people have commented here. I just finished watching the second series because I like watching it on DVD instead of on TV. First of all just because girls wear pink more often then boys doesn’t then make that color a “girl’s” color. A color can’t be claimed by a sex. It just means girls prefer it more and because of stereotypes and labels certain people become scared to wear that color which is just pathetic. If you can’t wear the color pink because you think someone will think your gay or not manly enough you have other things to be worrying about a lot more. You could say almost the same thing about the color yellow but I see tons of men painting their cars yellow now and days. Along with dressing all in yellow. Anyways this is definitely one of my favorite shows. The writing is so intelligent and witty. Like someone said before it brings up topics that need to be addressed and always leaves me thinking about an important issue at the end of the show. While it does all that the show still remains to be extremely funny and entertaining. Most American anime sucks in my mind but The Boondocks definitely doesn’t and blows most other shows out of the water anime or not. I hope that this show will be around for many more seasons and I think it will be. BTW I’m a gay white guy so now all you homophobes out there can reply and I’m sure I will feel the love. Also because of the disclaimer in this episode I’m sure this episode meant to depict a real rapper out there but I think this episodes main purpose is exactly what DIRTY.DUNNZ wrote about. I came to figure out who the rapper was and I’m still not sure but I figure It’s down to at least three rappers in my mind.

Ha ha ha. It’s totally 50. Who else could it be. If you’re in the industry then you know all labels make you sign a confidential agreement to keep their mouths shut. There are too many famous people who live their lives in secret this way. This thread is being overdone a little much, and I think many can agree. Feelings aside, great episode, and you wonder why they wrote it and why they HAD to make that disclaimer at the beginning ha ha. Hisoka.. arigato is spelt arigatou for future reference. And I agree it is a very witty for an american cartoon. I hear the influences the artist are from Cowboy Bebop and samurai champloo. It’s got a lot of content to keep it going, hopefully for years to come.
