Brooklyn-based activist Filing A 5 Billion Dollar Lawsuit Against Barclays Bank, Bruce Ratner & Jay-Z
In the claim, Mr. Campbell said that Mr. Ratner and Jay-Z worked “in concert” with Barclays, and “profited from the African Slave Trade and continue to profit from these gains, through a conspiracy dating back hundreds of years and continue to date to oppress Black people, enslave them, unlawfully deport them to all corners of the Earth.”
People still think about getting slavery reparations? It’s not going to happen and even if it did how would money be dispersed with not every black person having ancestors from here? How would you even determine the appropriate amount to be given per person? This sounds like a waste of time.
No will give you 40 acres and a mule, you have to go out there and get it yourself.
The article made a correction, DJ Kool Herc is not the one filing the lawsuit, lol something sounded wrong.

Why does reparations seem so unrealistic to Black Americans? The Chinese, Native Americans , and Jews were compensated for being persecuted. Why shouldn’t we be?
I feel that the only way we could receive reparations is through free College education. Black people should not have to pay to get an education in this country and that way those of us who have any intelligence and who want an education could get one without putting ourselves into major debt.
But we will never receive our “40 Acres and a mule” because we don’t have any real activist and leaders to make demands to the government. So I tip my hat to this man for being a leader and trying to get what is due.

Maybe because I am white I may opinion may not matter as much as others. However, as a decendent of Iish and Italian immigrants, I know acism was a big facto in their daily lives. Obviously enslaing a people is diff, but we are a far from that, although we have far to go. We all have to lookk inside to see our own bias and stereotypes. But seriously, in reply to this announcement, stop wasting tax payers dollars by filing frivolous lawsuits.

The short sightedness of the school process is are we goin to school still to support their system or will we be goin to school to create our own outlets…again we have no major black businesses! We may buy into franchises and what not but we hold no power in their world except from a consumer perspective!

Why is this considered far fetched?????So should we forget about slavery and act like it didnt happen…It was not that long ago…..Do you think that the People from the Frican Diaspora are living in terrible conditions for no reason????/Compton, Brooklyn, Newark, Atlanta, Liberia, Somolia, Dominican republic, Haiti, Jamaica…Every where you find black people you find suffering…Is this a coincedence, Or is it that western nations make more money off the natural resources of our home lands if we are not in a position to profit from them our selves?????
