Diddy’s Version Of Raisin In The Sun Was A Success
Sean “Diddy” Combs, made his debut in his first starring role on Monday, February 25th in the reprised role of Walter Lee in a “A Raisin in the Sun.” Ratings far exceeded expectations across every demographic. “A Raisin in the Sun,” which featured Sean Combs and all-star cast Phylicia Rashad, Audra McDonald, Sanaa Lathan and John Stamos, ranked #1 Monday night, allowing ABC to turn in its strongest night amongst viewers in 3 months. Raisin was TV’s highest-rated original movie since November 2005 among key demographic audiences. 12.7 Million viewers tuned in to see this revived classic.
I’m glad the movie did good and maybe this can be big for Diddy’s acting career. Some reviews of his performance are below.

ABC hit the jackpot with this one. Diddy pretty much did all the advertising himself. All the other big names didnt hurt either. Love to see black people doing they thing.

I didn’t tune in to see Diddy, I wanted to see Felicia ReShard & Lathan - I was half watching, trying to play COD4 on my Xbox 360….nothing like the original

I watched it for my wife Sanaa. But in the end i found myself really liking the movie. I suppose i’ll go and see the original now.
the movie was great diddy def. did his thing. Even though its alot easier when your surrounded by that amazing cast.
