Yea it’s music for people who actually want to do something wit their lives even when being from the hood

I can relate to Lupe alot….cuz he come from the Westside of Chicago….and I’m from Bk…but I don’t let the ignorant shit affect me.

I was shaking my head in disgrace when I see Soulja Boy…wit that “Throw Some Ds” bs at the end of his video. Kids are watching that shit and they think it’s cool.

Like Lupe & Dr. Cornel West said…we have to make things that are cool, uncool.

You can be smart, go to school and keep your swagger.

Lupe and a couple of other artists that are mentioned in this piece have definitely saved hip-hop. Its great to have people to listen to when you get annoyed by all of the garbage records .
