XXL Editor-In-Chief, Elliott Wilson, Fired.

Sources inside the XXL offices confirmed his termination but no reason for his release was disclosed.
It’s also now known that Wilson’s contract with Harris Publications, XXL parent company, ran out this month. Deputy Editor, Vanessa Satten, is said to be the appointed interim EIC.
Wilson, a freelancer for over 10 years, owned Ego Trip Mag in 1994 and held positions at Scratch, The Source & XXL.

wow dont like em as a person think hes 2 cocky but i gotta admit n his term he not only overthrowed the source the leader in hip hip mag for 10 plus years but he completly changed the face of hip hop magshis layouts r ill the photography like i said on the nas xxl cover post is hot n this nigga gonna succed no mata wat even though its prolly his mouth/ego that fuked em up

damn homie, it was good while it lasted. he should use his connects in the industry and start a new mag. he had heavy hitters on his covers every month so i’m sure he made sum friends in high places.

His wife is the editor-in-chief of Vibe, found that out not to long ago. Anyway, I’m sure he won’t go the Mimi, Benzino & Dave Mays route. Leave that tabloid, gossip stuff alone.
