Photobucket
After his long tenure as editor-in-chief Elliott Wilson was excused from his duties today (Jan. 7).

Sources inside the XXL offices confirmed his termination but no reason for his release was disclosed.

It’s also now known that Wilson’s contract with Harris Publications, XXL parent company, ran out this month. Deputy Editor, Vanessa Satten, is said to be the appointed interim EIC.

Wilson, a freelancer for over 10 years, owned Ego Trip Mag in 1994 and held positions at Scratch, The Source & XXL.

His wife is the editor-in-chief of Vibe, found that out not to long ago. Anyway, I’m sure he won’t go the Mimi, Benzino & Dave Mays route. Leave that tabloid, gossip stuff alone.
