I like Alicia Keys but I have always said her latest album lacks any true R&B feeling like her first 2. (Especially #2 “The Diary”) Just my opinion but I thought it was “HIGHLY OVERRATED!!” Sounded like a rush job to me. She ain’t from the hood so how would she relate,if she is she obviously ain’t no thug.

lol @ there being no more real or good hip hop!

If people actually listen to music isntead of being lazy and simply accepting what the radio throws at you then I think people would feel different!

R&B as far as whats on the radio seems like a better deal BUT there is still EXTREMELY good hip hop IN EVERY REGION!
Tabi Boney and Joell ortiz are 2 who come to mind initially

Also the R&B scene needs to pay attention to Hip Hop cause they keep playin and gettin greedy they gonna mess that game up too… DREAM = good writer/Solo Act!

Alicia- Takes her time and comes through big “No One” her biggerst single yet and thats saying a lot.

Mary- Always had excellent music but with “The Breaktrhough ” she started gaining commercial sucess and it reflects in her sales.

Chris Brown – He actually suffers beacuse the majority of his fans are not accustomed to buing CDs

50 Cent- Excellent songwriter. Just set the bar too high for himself
Keyshia Cole – First album was stronger but commercial appeal is starting to grow

The Dream – Probably a better writer than performer.

Trey SongZ – Similar to Lloyd but has a much more mature sound. Should of did more with the sucess of ” Cant Help but Wait”

Mario- Label botched this one. I think he had one the best songs of the year with” Crying Ou for Me”.

Jigga-He’s in a class by himself. Has the freedom creatively to do whatever he wants and still put out classic . The number of sells for “American Ganster” doesnt reflect how GREAT an album it was. Sidebar: How can anyone spit to ” Beach Chair”?still cant get that.

Kanye – Musical Genius! Has anyone EVER come out the box and have 3 stronger ablums than him?

SMH It’s some biased people on here who are just making up numbers.

Beyonce= 6 mill ww
Alicia= 4 mill ww
Rihanna= 3 mill ww
Now I’m not sure about Mary’s numbers but Beyonce and Alicia are the top 2 rnb sellers.

As for Rap it’s just garbage now. I don’t even hardly listen to rap anymore. I am surprised though that Jigga didn’t sell more. He’s like the only rapper left that I actually listen to. The rest is straight up garbage. Real talk.

^^^^^^^^^^that isn’t true…i checked soundscan and those are the fakest numbers i’ve heard. i won’t say the real ones cuz stans will just attack me for it. (but bey’s is lower,ak’s is about right,and rih’s is higher)
