  1. The King Says:

    word sigel
    dont start that shit
i’m one of your biggest fans
and i copped the album on friday
    and i was very disappointed
all his albums been deep, from the heart
the solution lacks depth, passion, it dont sound like beans
i thought this was “the return of the bad guy”
it sounds more like let me hurry up b4 i get locked again
The B.Coming was so deep The Solution is just a let down
    when in doubt……blame the label
what he thought he was supposed to go platinum this year?

  2. Broadway Says:

“Jay Z spent all the marketing dollars on American Gangster” – 50

50 always seems to look like a prophet… after he talks “recklessly” as REALTALK will put it.

  3. Henri Whitaker Says:

I’m a fan and I always be a loyal to another Philly man but Beans this one was a let down that shit was his worst material ever. I dont like not one song on that album.

  4. YO MOMS KNOW ME Says:

…they just need to reinvent themselves…. a new year is just around the corner…..they can do it….

  5. OLA Says:

i agree hov is my dude but he needs 2 get LA Reid to support these rap artists. luda isnt gettin support and the same w/ ghostface, and all those rappers on def jam arent gettin support.

jay-z gets all the blame but u have 2 realize all the promotion he gets is from doing deals w/ companies outside of def jam.

kanye practically pays 4 his own videos cuz LA Reid won’t give him enough stacks to make a hot video

like i said hov will take all the blame but at the end of the day LA Reid is the man that distributes the money/overseas EVERYTHING. LA Reid fucked up LaFace Records as well a few years back and he’s doin the same w/ def jam. ne-yo and rihanna are cool but we NEEEEED real rap music man, ESPECIALLY from def jam cuz the other rappers suck.

think bout it if hov, nas, beans, freeway, bleek, luda, ghostface, fabolous, DTP, method man, redman, jadakiss all dropped consistently def jam would have a CHOKEHOLD on the rap industry.

i dunno thats jus how i feel

  6. theone Says:

    Damn !!!

  7. uknowme Says:

Coincidence that Beanie starts talking ish about the Roc after his album is about to flop? I think not.

You can criticize the marketing strategy as much as you want, but these guys are failing to deliver hit singles. Step your game up!!!

  8. Bruce Leeroy Says:

While I agree with Sigel his album was str8 up ass cheeks. Go back to the drawing board fat bol

  9. nader Says:

Ghostface shit was hott! Especially that track with Beans on it, that shit was deep.
I havent heard the solution yet though.

Someone said Luda doesnt get support…you are dumb or something. Luda gets a lot of support from Def Jam. Dont know if you realized it but Def Jam invests in the south AND R

  10. nader Says:

they invest in the south and r

  11. nader Says:

    Def Jam South artists
DTP – Ludacris, Shawnna, Chingy, Shareefa, Bobby Valentino
    CTE – Young Jeezy, USDA
    Rick Ross

    rnb
    Ne Yo
    Rihanna
    The Dream

  12. T Lee Says:

Frankly, the album was weak. Sounded like a transition album or experiment much like T.I. vs T.I.P. At least T.I had a bubbling lead single. Beans should’ve scrapped this one. And I’ma ROC fan.

  13. nader Says:

^^ they all get bread. Def Jam isnt the same Def Jam anymore. Why do you think doofy ass Jay got a job as president. Its all a front people, their money is not going to us loyal NY fans. They through him up their as a puppet. LA Reid and whoever else is high up has their money where they want it.

LL wasnt lyin when he was speakin to us. The only thing LL was wrong about was that he didnt realize Jay cant do anything about these problems. its not really Jays fault. Russel left, and Def Jam needed someone to make it look like they were still the livest rap label. Jay might not even realize hes gettin played, and if he does he dont care cause hes getting gwap.
