The last time I gave my loved one flowers was on May 24th, 2008. The feeling can't be summed up in typed words, but, I would love to express the gratification that I received was a good balance for my mental acuity...as a matter of fact, it encouraged me to want to do it again and again. Reading this blog has truly encourgaged me to remember how two words that were taught to me as a child and sounded so cute to hear when asked to repeat it, still sounds humble and grateful to hear as an adult. So, thank you to my Mama for grooming me to be the beautiful and intelligent young lady that I'm proud to be today. Thank you to my Daddy who unconditional love taught me to love with my heart and not my thoughts. Thank you to my oldest brother for picking where Daddy left off at during difficult times. Thank you to my Pastor for being about the people and convincing my mind to leave the thought that not all Pastors are "Pimps In the Pulpit". Thank you, Cornell for exemplifying that there good men in this city who can be a great husband and a great father along with the many positive impressions you share with us online, in the classrooms, at church and in your community. I loved that line in Kanye's song, mainly because one of my best friends was just murdered at 20 years old on Thanksgiving morning. She was a beautiful, young girl, with so much life in her and ahead of her, and I wish so bad that I would have "given her flowers while she could still smell them". This blog made me cry. We all need to spread more love and really let our loved ones know how much they are appreciated and loved. Thank you for this blog! Beautiful. I loved this.
