New York Police Claim Fabolous’ Friend Was Attempting A Robbery When He Was Murdered
New York police believe rapper FABOLOUS’ friend SHAMEL McKINNEY was stabbed to death trying to rob a man in a nightclub. McKinney was killed during a confrontation in Duvet last month (Nov07). It is unclear if Fabolous was with him at the time.
Cops claim McKinney was part of a Street Family, including around 20 of Fabolous’ associates, who trawl Manhattan hotspots stealing jewelry from wealthy celebrities and sports stars.Fabolous – real name John Jackson – has stringently denied being at the scene of the killing – but a nightclub promoter has insisted he was there. are investigating the incident and have yet to make an arrest.
Damn I don’t know about this one, rolling with a rapper is a good way to get to other celebs for their jewels. Seems like a risky business to be involved in if true. Police will bring up the Sebastian incident to try to build a case.

It’s not hear-say buddy, there was a reason why Fab got shot at Justin’s that night when Telfair got Robbed. Yall can be naive if yall want to, but NY niggas know the deal, and we know what Streeett Fidddaamm be about. I don’t know if Fab is involved directly, but indirectly he gets these niggas access into clubs where they wouldn’t be allowed into if fab wasn’t with them.

The NYPD now believe that Shamel “Money Mel” McKinney, the 25 year-old associate of Fabolous who was stabbed to death at the Duvet nightclub on November 23, was killed after he tried to rob a man of his jewelry. According to the New York Post, unidentified law enforcement sources claim that McKinney was acting on behalf of Fab’s Street Family crew, whom authorities have long suspected of targeting celebrities with expensive jewelry in the New York area. “These guys have no money,” the law-enforcement source told the Post about the crew. “They go to New York to get paid, because that’s where the money is.” Initial witness accounts suggested that McKinney, an aspiring rapper who went by the name “Money Mel,” was stabbed while trying to break up a fight between two women. Investigators now believe that the man who McKinney was trying to rob knifed stabbed him and tossed a 7-inch switchblade into a nearby dumpster. Fab’s lawyer has denied that the rapper was ever at Duvet that night, but promoter Andre Faria says he definitely saw the rapper at the club that night. When questioned about the new allegations, the rapper’s attorney, Alberto Ebanks, said he was unaware of any such claims. The paper also reports that the FBI once considered a probe into the Street Family crew, but backed out after deciding that the crimes were not organized enough to warrant federal prosecution. Cops also believe that Fab was shot near Sean “Diddy” Combs’ now shuttered Justin’s Restaurant last October after his associates robbed Boston Celtics guard Sebastian Telfair of his $50,000 necklace.

The allogations that Fabolous was present at the scene of the crime are false,everytime Fabolous attends an event at least 5 different websites take pictures of him, in which no pictures have surfaced of him being present.As far as Street Family being involved in all these robberies, it is not the members themselves that are an actaul part of the robberies, just becuase someone is from Brooklyn or wears Rich Yung clothing does not make them part of Street Family.
