Ludacris & Company Perform @ The 46664 AIDS Day Concert In South Africa
I have some pictures I snapped at the 46664 AIDS Day Concert at Ellis Park on Saturday. The event is the initiative of our hero Tata Nelson Mandela, which he founded in 2002. He invited different personalities, including actors, musicians, sports stars, etc, to spread awareness about HIV and AIDS. This HIV/AIDS charity carries Madiba’s prison number 46664. The performers this year included Peter Gabriel, Angelique Kidjo, Johnny Clegg, Ludacris, Jamelia, Corrine Bailey-Rae, Annie Lennox, The Goo Goo Dolls and many local acts.
The slogan/pay-off line for this year was “It’s In Our Hands”, emphasizing that we are the only people responsible to stop the spread of this monster disease. The performances were outstanding, the messages relayed were positive and thought-provoking; and what I found most amazing was the unity amongst people of different races, cultures and backgrounds. I wish the world was as united and people tolerant of one another like it was on that day.

Of course , he has to get paid, it is his job to entertain us.
Many dates, many shows, if his management , marketing team and himself chosed to do this job other another performance, it might be a reflection of his priorities or awareness .
