  5. Hip Hop Fan Says:

I gotta add one more thing tho….Why is lupe trying to sound too complex when he’s saying stuff that is not so complex? I mean I still like his music. But he’s overdoing it with the overpronouncing and forcing word play.

    just my 2 cents.

song is fire. y would yall say he’s tryna to sound like lil wayne? he has a way better delivery than wayne if u haven’t noticed…and better lyrics…better at just about everything cept swag…and he doesn’t kiss men.

and #5, if u don’t think the lyrics are complex, u prolly don’t understand em.

  18. HipHopHead Says:

    Lupe Fiasco = 2Pac + Nas

  19. REALTALKTDOT Says:

    its goin over their heads…lu.

  20. Hip Hop Fan Says:

the songs hot, the beat really makes the joint. Lupe’s first verse is ridin weezy’s dick a lil’ bit but it’s lupe so u can’t hate . Just wish he had more 2 say…

  24. 2cents Says:

the flow is a lil like the one pilfered from 3 stacks!

Wayne wasn’t rhyming like that before stankonia came out!

  25. The PRodigal Says:

that song was crack “So come these are the tails of the cool”

  26. A.Johnson Says:

    #19 you couldn’t be more right…

  27. Bob Says:

If you listen to Lupe’s old mixtapes like lupe the jedi, he has definitely been rhyming like that for a while. Like how he says “I love the lord”. He’s not taking that from wayne but because people are on lil wayne’s nuts you automatically think he originated a style. I hate how that works. Lupe is the truth, he tells a story like none other.

  28. The PRodigal Says:

#27 you right before they see who’s been rhyming like that longer they just hope on Wayne’s nuts

  29. LupinSoLovely Says:

Lupe never disappoints and thank you #27 for acknowledging LUpe’s originality..anyways..this is goin over your heads..it’s obvious cause if it wasn’t he would be Diamond..& he’s worth it.
On the real, let’s not expect everyone to be at a level mentally to understand some lyrics not meant for everyone to comprehend…eventually their minds MAY mature..just wish them luck.. & indulge in the intellectual.
    YUMM…LUPEEEE

  30. Vex Says:

Do go to this site below to hear this nigga run the coolest sound track… its the shit… http://www.artistdirect.com/nad/window/media/page/listen/0,,4498202,00.html

  31. Spitfire Says:

The title of the song doesn’t match the lyrics at all. He also sounds like he is reaching. The production is lazy and the mix is week. I don’t like it at all, but I like the concept that is not developed to it’s fullest potential. Mr. Fiasco is over rated and over worked. If you like this, then you are fine because it is a lot better than most of the crap out there today.

  32. d1no Says:

    hot track – lupe = hip-hop

  33. hiphop head Says:

i hate 2 sound redundant but its obvious alot of yall niggas leavin comments have no idea what this song is actually about….yall are takin the lyrics at face value and missin da whole concept….lyk #31 who said da lyrics don’t match da title n especially dem ppl comparing lupe 2 wayne

  34. Graffiti Realist Says:

thank u #33 half these dudes on here dont even know what the song is about… if they knew they would know its FANOMINAL… and thank u #27 if u listen to his old mixtapes lupe was already rapping like that… all yall dudes thats talking about lupe is takin stuff from wayne… all yall doin is ridin his nuts because yall cant imagine lupe makin nothin as hot as this… THIS SONG IS OFF THE CHAIN AND WHEN LUPE MAKES HIS THIRD AND LAST ALBUM HE WILL BE KNOW AS ONE OF THE BEST!!

  35. food&liquor Says:

this track is ill, cant wait for the album. good to see hes not dumbing it down for the masses, good stuff lu.

  36. shawn Says:

gotta add one more thing tho….Why is lupe trying to sound too complex when he’s saying stuff that is not so complex? I mean I still like his music. But he’s overdoing it with the overpronouncing and forcing word play.

  39. Maniac MizFit #1 Says:

  40. dreddy Says:

In all honesty, this track out-matches/out-thinks/ just out-shines any track you’re gonna hear for most of 2008. (ignore the fact it dropped in late ‘07

lupe is that far-reaching…he’s mainstream, i’ll agree, but he digs deep enough to summon a bit of production that some beats that the old-soulful heads will enjoy as much as the backpackers.

    do ya’ thing lu!

After listening to this song as well as his album I believe that Lupe is potentially one of the greatest lyricist I’ve ever heard…His wordplay is ridiculous…what other rapper can personify a cheeseburger?

  43. Ya Daddy Says:

I guess Lupe is just one of those people that no matter how average the song, yall dick riders still gonna say it’s hot.
