Album of the year has to go to Kanye. Firstly he was the underdog and came out on top. He has the top selling hip-hop album of the year. His album was mostly good. Production was great on the album. Lastly, if this was an awards show, would we really not want to pick Kanye (remember the past). But KanYE has the number 1 album, hands down

Dawg, str8 up my vote goes to YOUNG BUCK-BUCK THE WORLD. It’s so slept on yo, ya’ll jumping on kanye just because he went against everybody’s favorite enemy (50 Cent) but Graduation was a 6/10 for me, so was curtis, but my vote definetely goes to young buck, if dude wasn’t on G-Unit all you nerds would of been copped that album.

TI shit was rushed and recycled, 50 was ok, not worthy of being in competition with Graduation IMO. I liked Kweli’s Ear Drum, i think it was his best yet.
Lupe is to be considered for 08,he’s layin the bricks so cats better come hard. and i dont even consider Jay in the competition anymore, its Jay, he been there done that, now its just for fun. besides the album wasnt all that great.

In my opinion, Kanye should get album of the year. I was feeling Champion Flashing Lights, Big Brother, I Wonder, Good Life, and Drunk N Hot Girls on some real shyt. Also, you know you have a good album when you can creatively make really good videos for each single. Each video of Kanye is different but not redundant. And when I say that, I mean Kanye’s style is different from others but he doesn’t repeat that same direction. YA DIGG!! LOL
I love my nigga Jay but someone is MORE deserving of that. The album was good, and he’s always gonna be number 1 no matter what but lets give it someone else this time.
Whoever says T.I. needs to be slapped for real. That album is not even in that competition. When I listened to it, I was tight as hell cause every song sounded the same. I tried my hardest to sit through every song but I was like nah fucc it my duke, its not even worth it. His guest appearances like Jay-z and Busta Rhymes were alright though. But definitely not the best album, it was something you should have just downloaded…

But Kanye did it all right this year and he really deserves this one, it wasnt more than one track i didnt like on his album. Thats some good shit! Kanye took KINGDOM COME and dumbed it down. He steals every rapper’s words and adds a metaphor and is getting over on rap heads. He’s more Black Eyed Peas than Hip Hop - he’s a PAP Rapper (pop/rap).
If you’re talking HIP HOP - nothing up there’s more hip hop than American Gangster and definitely nothing is fucking with it lyrically.
