The 40/40 In Las Vegas Reportedly Fails Health Inspections(Still Opening On Sunday)
Hip-hop mogul JAY-Z’s New Year’s Eve plans have been thrown into disarray after his new Las Vegas club reportedly failed to pass a health and safety inspection. The 99 Problems rapper was due to ring in the New Year (08) at the latest branch of his exclusive 40/40 club, but the Sin City venue’s opening now looks set to be delayed after the unexpected setback.
While the Palazzo is unable to commit to a soft-opening date, music mogul Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club, a sports-themed restaurant at the Palazzo, is still planning to open Sunday night, according to club spokeswoman Alissa Kelly.

co sign #2 that shit really aint no joke. i failed one recently lol cuz the fuckin toilet didnt flush right, there wasnt a fuckin mat behind the bar so the bartenders wouldnt slip, and some other bullshit. it aint shit tho if u fix everything that day or the next they will come right back, but you gotta pay em to come back out there and re-inspect and they might not come and do it for a few weeks. but im sure jay will pay the right people, thats what it comes down to uncle sam wantin u to line his pockets. lol @ camel shit

For the haters who say he doesn’t own it, wouldn’t you think the people that report it would state that specifically since the media loves to hate like you? Everyone knows he has investors, as he should, but he is the main owner of 40/40 and the face that’s keeping it moving and making $$$. As for the NETS, his investment share speaks for itself – they sit on ROCAWEAR seats and the cheerleaders wear HOUSE OF DEREON.

The health inspection in Nevada is not a walk in the park. During my internship in NYC back in 2000 I worked at Friday’s on 50th street. And if that restaurant was transplanted to Vegas it would get F ratings in all catagories. So if he got some nasty ass manager bringing bad habits then he is destined to fail. What I can tell you from an insider is that The 40/40’s location inside of Palazzo is wack. I heard that they are damn near in the basement almost like a dungeon. But that never hurt Drai’s and Drai’s is up in sie the Barbary Coast. Just have to wait and see.
Now Hov is wrong for charging $800 just to walk up in the joint on NYE. No table, no bottle. All you get is a Champagne Toast. Who the fuck gonna spend that much to party. Even His Flagship spot in NYC is only charging $150 for their NYE party. I think this is the weekend Jay decided to rape Vegas. His concert tonight at Pearl I dropped $179 cause the $129 seats were sold out after 10 minutes or they say…Beyonce is at Mandalay Bay Tomorrow and Kanye is at Pearl on NYE…how you and your best artist gonna throw a NYE party in the same fuckin city…lmao….Jay-z may have to dig a hole if this is idea of bringing his flavor to Vegas.

Actually, the Palazzo which the hotel 40/40 Club is in has not passed inspection yet which has caused it to push back it’s opening date. However, the 40/40 Club and some of the other venures in the hotel will be opened and issued temporary permits. So the events planned this weekend for the 40/40 club will take place.
