“Talk 2 Em’” seems to be getting the most attention from people that have heard Mood Muzik 3. Why did you decide to go at Jay-Z?

You’re getting paid to be a president. Be a president. We loved you as a rapper. One of the best to ever do it. Now it’s time to do some other things.Everybody is calling American Gangster a concept album. It’s a Jay-Z album. He’s talking about the same exact sh*t he’s talking about on Reasonable Doubt. He needs to be a president and start putting out some f*ck*ng artists.

I wonder why niggas blame Jay for everything. Record labels have plenty of heads similar to the Government. In Gov its 3 branches of Government ect. The president of a company has a say so of course but a company as big as Def Jam has plenty of people who are factored into a decision making process.
I personally think Def Jam drop the ball with Joe’s album, with a hit single close to pump it up status he could have seen gold but the game change so much since his last album. What happend to 50 being interested in this nigga to do a album with Banks? That would be fire and could help both they careers.

no label has not had a better year than Def Jam you only have to look at a label like Aftermath cus Ortiz, Bishop Lamont, Stat Quo, Eve, Reakwon aint release a album and you can guarantee a 50 album a Eminem album and maybe even Detox will be released before any of them dudes. As a Executive you have to focus on who is ready and can make the label more money, Kanye, Luda, Hov, Jeezy, Fabolous will do that so when they are ready there album will come out.
