While I think Bonds deserves everything that’s coming to him. I dont think 30 years in jail is appropriate. Mick Vick wont get a 1/4 of that for killing some dogs…Murderers dont get that much. Scooter Libby (convicted of perjury, obstruction of justice, and lying to investigators) was sentenced to less than 3 years. And didnt serve ONE DAY. Lil’ Kim convicted of perjury served one year. Martha Stewart convicted of 4 counts of obstruction and lying, only sentenced to 5 MONTHS….My point??….30 years is a bit extreme, even for a steroid using, womanizing ogre like Bonds

Look. He’s not going to jail for using steroids. He’s going to jail for sitting in front of a federal jury and lying to them under oath. He could have sat there and said, yup I did steroids like everyopne else and he would’ve walked out with nothing to worry about.

But, he was so driven to break the alltime record that he couldn’t just do that.. Ironic since that’s the exact reason he turned to steroids in the first place. That and the single season record.
