  7. Evan Says:

Man I fucks with this shit and I aint even a Nas fan. For some reason it sounds like it could be a hit ( as in radio play and crossover appeal) because its so different. And I think Chris Webber (the basketball player) made the beat.

  8. Jigga Says:

seeing that video really shows his relevance in da rap game. NAS & JAY-Z = Da best ever to did it sine big and pac

  9. T2 Says:

This track is dope a typical Nas classic.

On the subject of Bushwick and JDolla unfortunately them days are gone if you think any of them modern day rappers can spit real shit like that you are wrong I just don’t see it Joe Budden aint that great and nobody will listen to him any way young dudes today would rather listen to that YOOOOUUUU trash (I ain’t hating on the south cus they doing there thing BTW).

I don’t think many modern day rappers can be the best if you got a dance out you will get signed if you ain’t then it is hard.

  10. djdjek Says:

very good one. still have respect for Nas.

  11. 2cents Says:

  16. Oh F@#!in' Pleeze!!! Says:

First off, I was just gonna ignore this shit AGAIN, but Bushwick aka J Dolla, STOP IT!!!! Quite trying to force your views upon others. A lot of people agree with you, but some people have just decided to go with the flow and ride it til the wheels fall off like ME lol. NO, I don’t like Soulja Slim or WTF ever, but let him do him. I don’t have to listen to him and Lil Boosie lol!!!!

Co-sign baby!!! This shit has me reminicin’ like Pete Rock and C.L. smooth lol!!!

That was the FIRST hip-hop song I memorized even though I’m from Cali lol. I had no IDEA who NWA was until the Chronic came out when I was like 13 and they were WAY OVER by then lol!!!!

  17. Let the audience watch Says:

On the real Nas should become a political activist. I mean the stuff he raps about have some sense unlike others. Nas is a force and if people would just forget the beat and listen to the man, then maybe people would understand him, i mean that’s what I think, at least.

  18. ReBeL Says:

    He’s a Fuckin Genius!

  19. yuer Says:

    tuff song

  20. DJ A.n.T. Says:

    Classic Material…and I was lmao at #13

  21. RealTalkCA Says:

What the fuck, I was hopin Nas would actually make a video for this song, not some shit with bunch of old clips put together……

  22. The Don Says:

Nas is crowned the best lyricist, many years on this profesional level.

  25. Trigger08 Says:

Straight up, one of the greatest. Nastradamus.

  26. Emissary Says:

Nas didn’t have anything to do with this vid it was put together by SONY this greatest hits albums finish his contrack with sony it’s the same reason why the tracklist is the way it is Nas didn’t pick the songs SONY did….

  27. iwallace Says:

    MANNNNN I LOVE THIS SONG

  28. 100% Says:

this song fits nas’ greatest hits theme because it tells his story.

  29. izreal Says:

    nice track

well written, if “nigger” is as well wrtten as this maybe it will be looked at like how we look at movies like “american me” or how we will judge denzel’s “american gagnster”( i watched the whole movie and i definitley see oscar nods for denzel and russell crowe)

I think it was a good idea to use “nigger” as opposed to “nigga” its kinda like the differnece between saying “pussy” verses “vagina”

using the clinical term opens it up for discussion without tryint o rationalize it…if its in the dictionary why cant he use it for an album name.. certainly less harmful than “natural born killers”

big up NAS.. hip hop could use some thought.

  30. white bread Says:

nas ain’t got to prove nothing n hiphop, but has a message to send in hiphop, and as he spite lyric we listen… the only thing nas is gonna prove once his album drop, well i do know but own the album drop the message will be proven….nas is hip hop

  31. we stone Says:

this sounds like the good old hiphop i used to love.

  32. white bread Says:

love the song….the only problem that i have with nas is his consistency in hiphop.

  33. ezl_oo Says:

This video is hot and goes with the song perfect!!! Shit brings me back to the old school days of drinking 40s on the corner with the crew. But now a days for a song to be considered a hit it must be a club banger! If the song isn’t popping in the clubs, it isn’t considered a hit and it isn’t getting no air play on the radios. Nas is the shit I’m defitenely copping his album, we need more songs like this and f@ck Jay-Z he is falling off with that wack album.

  34. Shyne Poe Says:

shit man watchin this video gave me a little tear in ma eye son real talk.. brought bac memories son … that was the most original video .. hip hop needed that.. nas = illest mc of all time son

  38. Afrochic Says:

Legendary. This video makes me nostalgic for that old school pre-Ja Rule 90’s hip hop.
