I don’t know if this is their reason, but: Huey doesn’t add much to the show in terms of comedic value. He’s the voice of reason, but intelligence doesn’t make you laugh. We wanna crack up and make fun of ignorant shit, and storylines centerted around the grandfather and Riley provide that.
