Hmmm…I don’t think it wuz just the BAPE sh** dat they wuz beefin’ over…as I recall, Pusha T have sum sick one liners and heavy drug references…well, same with Lil Wayne. It’s evident dat Pusha T wuz talkin’ bout Wayne on the “Chevy Ridin’ High (Remix)”. And I know I’m gonna get it from Lil Wayne stans, but Wayne technically did bite a lil bit from the Clipse style-wise. I think the Clipse could make complete songs though, so 2 me Wayne couldn’t never make a complete song or album. Hell Hath No Fury wuz a damn good album becuz the Clipse kept the coke concept goin’ with no features and no outside producers. As far as Wayne, I could never get nothin’ out of him beside him oversaturating the market via Jay-Z style and makin’ a whole bunch of guest appearances just 4 the hell of it.

Wayne responded to a question as he did with the Clipse. Of course he was smart not to respond to 50 since 50 had an album coming out. 50 was grabbing at any rapper..Cameron….Lil Wayne…Kayne and to me, lost all battles because his album still hasn’t sold as he said it would. The Clipse have spoken on Wayne plenty of times as well as sending subliminal messages. Eg their new song “Cheers” which in my opinion is garbage. The Clipse came out ready to fire stating how can the best rapper be “wobbely wobbley” referring to Wayne’s verse in Juveniles “Drop it Like its Hot” which was a hot song. Now my response to the Clipse, who I highly respected and bought their ablums until then, was wtf is “wamp wamp” since they want to point fingers. The Clipse were hot and to me and i fell like they have fallen off a bit. Either i may be from a failed sophomore album or from battling with their label, it just seems like they are grabbing for so hype. Why go after Wayne for Bape or a style they didnt create? Shit Ludacris rocked Bape, Chris Brown did too, did you hear about the Clipse going after them? And as for their style so many rappers before them rapped about the dope game you hear any other rappers coming after them for taking “their style”? When your flopping you go after what people consider the hottest shit out and Wayne is that dude right now. I understand where homie is coming from when he says why try and be like them. People keep forgetting Wayne was out wayyyyyyyyyyy before the Clipse and will be around when the Clipse either go back to the block or stay dropping mixtapes. Why hate another mans hustle? Wayne has his own style which people tend to say is a mix of the Clipse and Jay-z but if he’s a mix of so many different styles does that not make it his own style. He takes the best aspects and makes it his own. He adds the N.O slang and his own style. You cant rob him of that. I’ve been listening to Wayne since he’s first shit came out. And he also referred to drug innuendo even when he was younger and Clipse was prolly hearing his ish cause they were no bodies.
