1st Dick Gregory wrote a book same title, i am not sure but i don’t think it raised so much controversy. 2nd for all of you stuck in the past…wake-up!!! nothing defines you but you. 3rd, honestly people children are starving to death, bombs are being dropped on people’s heads, catastrophe’s around every corner, ands this is the topic you stuck on…….again…wake-up!!! it’s an album…..that’s it. the only power it has, like words is the power we give it.

as for nas I see his logic and understand his travel more now and I think if most people jus listen to nas and not try to judge him for being a man and not jesus/mohammed even though he was spittin the 55 talk he never really strayed from where the black man’s interest were.

F*ck that! Nas calls and album Hip Hop is Dead and he barely talk about the subject in the album. The title was contreversial but the content sure was not!
I don’t care what you name your album, but if you gonna try to be clever about your title elevate the debate through your lyrics!
I’ll give him another chance but I just see another publicity stunt.
I consider Nas as a legend because of the WAY he’s able to talk about things and only rarely because of what he actually says. Sorry don’t see as a really clever guy
