The Latest On Kanye West
Kanye West is devastated and seemingly “in denial” after a botched plastic surgery likely led to the sudden death of his beloved mother, friends told the Daily News.
Adding to the tragedy, a friend says, the Grammy-winning rapper didn’t think his mom, Donda West, needed any physical improvement – much less radical cosmetic surgery.
It’s one thing to lose a mother, but it is so much worse when her passing seems so avoidable. Some people are getting at his mother for having the surgery, but who really believes they will die from a tummy tuck or breast reduction? These are not considered outrageous surgery these days. I can’t knock a woman for wanting to improve her looks, she can do what she wants with her money.
This situation shows how much of a roller coaster life is. One day your on top of the world selling nearly a million records in a week and then in a couple of months your facing one of the worst moments of your life. People should appreciate the good times and always be prepared for the bad. Don’t take anyone or life for granted, you never know when your number will be called.

yea, its not like she got implants, but i hear that Lipo is dangerous as hell. i know one thing, she didnt need cosmetic surgery, she looked great for 58. regardless of how it happened its a tragedy, and losing a mother is a feeling like no other and the fact that they are in the public eye cant be helping. my mom is my best friend and i dont know what i would do without her.
i had a discussion with my girls the other day about how years ago, it was rare for black women to get cosmetic surgery. it was thought of as a “white girl” thing. now, they gettin asses, titties, possies all kinds of shit.

its always touchy when u lose a loved one. doctors caused a lot of deaths in society by doin botched surgeries or nurses not locating a vein. its scary 2 go 2 a doctor 4 anything. I pray we all learn to trust god more & more. the devil loves when we praise money & the hip hop generation need 2 praise life again. someone quoted biggie’s line ur nobody til someone kills u. I guess those words where powerful 2 an extent. life is precious & snakes kno it, that’s why our government is outta control not hip hop. we gotta keep prayin cuz its fellowship time brothaz & sistaz.

ppl arent knocking donda west 4 getting plastic surgery. they’re knocking donda west 4 getting plastic surgery after a surgeon specifically told her that he wouldnt perform surgery on her cuz the complications from the surgery would lead to sum problems w/ her heart. 4 sum reason she didnt listen and went to another ‘less qualified’ surgeon who has a history of botched boob jobs, DUIs, and is a wife beater to perform her surgery. i only wish dr. donda west knew all this bout her surgeon before going under the knife.
if ur goin 2 have surgery…PLEASE take the time 2 look up ur doctor cuz there are a lot of crooks out there

i dont know about the whole surgery issue since i dont know diddley about that subject there so i wont touch it. but as far as kanye and his mother goes this has to be the worst thing that could ever happen to the man. everyone knows how close he was with her. cant imagine what hes going through right now. cherish your loved ones while you have them here with you for sure. you never know what could be around the corner. i know kanye will pull through though. hes a strong young man. he will definetly keep his mothers spirit alive thats a given. and on a little side note f*** victoria secret corp for thinking kanye will still be at there show. how inconsiderate of them.

another doctor commented that she wasn’t being vain and the extra skin and big breast were heavy for her and causing their own problems. but i second what #8 said. i just wish more research went into choosing the doctor. if tmz can easily find this info, i know she could have with her resources. i pray kanye makes it through ok. i cant imagine the pain he is in but i would hope he wont let this break him.

first off this is sad news for kanye and chicago hip hop. Losing a mother has to be the hardest thing in the world to go through. My thoughts are with the entire West family.

A lot of people go through plastic surgery and don’t pass from it.Some people get stabbed,shot multiple times and still survive. What I’m trying to say is when your number is called,there’s no stopping it and if it’s not your time then you’re not gonna go.(speaking from personal experience)
You never know what you got,till it’s gone so don’t take the people you love for granted because they could be here one minute and the next they’re gone just like that.
Cherrish the precious moments you spend with your loved ones.

the good thing is that he always let his moms know how much she meant to him, every chance he got. i remember seeing him,her and his pops on oprah singing “hey mama”.
most people never get a chance to express they feeling b4 they loved one goes, but he showed her everyday.

She was a 58 year old woman who wasn’t in the best of health. Having a tummy tuck and breast reduction presents a serious risk for a women of that age, and worse if they have health issues. The first plastic surgeon that she went to advised against the operations. Her tragic death could have been avoided!

It’s not like she was going in for breast IMPLANTS and a ass implant. She got a tummy tuck [understandable to a degree not all women regain the perfect shape they had before motherhood] and a breast REDUCTION [large breasts can cause back/shoulder/neck problems]
