F it I can read…lol In my perspective for a dude to be talkin bout community an what not but not be bout it (caus he’s worried bout gettin his money up at y’all expense) he needs to fall back and jus wait till the album drops! How he gonna comment on the album like he doesn’t already know the content anyways!? he’s the pres and CEO so I’d assume he would have heard some of the things nas is talkin bout already!

p.s. weezy did his thing on hello brooklyn!

True talk, but LL liking his lip 5 times every two words is getting really corny to me!!
How are you going to make an album for the dudes this time around and be liking your lips at the same time. Man up LL, and get some chapstick.

DONT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER. WE ALL KNOW NAS TO BE A VERY SOCIAL CONCIOUS ARTIST WHO TRIES TO BRING AWARENESS TO HIS FANS. I DOUBT AFTER ALL THIS TIME THAT HE IS GOING TO PUT AN ALBUM JUST TO SALE RECORDS. I JUST HOPE THAT HE DOESN’T TAKE US BACK 60 YEARS WITH THIS TITLE.

Jigga and LL is holdin Nas down on his shit and im with them 101% because its about time for us black people to drop that. Do a white person get mad at us black people for callin them by there name? NO. The white people been drop all that 1916 shit. So black people should too. Its a new year. And Nas know what he is doin by this shit, so I thank him. “TRUE STORY”.

Whats Good ya. Man this is real talk. I dont even know if i wanna cop the new hov, beans, free, or styles shyt, real talk. Fa real, artists need to go bak to the true essence of hip hop i mean dont get me wrong all the dudes i named r nice as hell, but when u drop a rapper lik joe buddens and sign Uncle Murder hip hop is dead, dont get me wrong i love brooklyn i live there and i was raised there Bushwick stand up But a spade is a spade. Example, Fabo had some hot ass tracks on his album and his second single is “baby dont go” come on Gangstas dont play was real, so was im da man and artist or droppin these track to attract who? Females are worried about how many years T.I.’s gonna get, Whats next on Keisha coles new show, or trynna perfect the superman dance, real talk. Tell you the truth (please comment if im wrong) hip hop needs to look at its past Warning, juicy, keep ur head up,i Aint mad at cha, all that i got is u, song cry, if i ruled the world, ruff ryder’s anthem, i could keep going on and on. These songs helped make all these legends who we speak about now. And none of these songs spoke about shaking booty or wifing a chick, come on ya help bring hip hop back.

agree w/ll 100 percent… nas is his own man, let him do what he wants to do… jay has some nerve to say that its is misguided…

I agree with Jay-Z, I cant see the video but I read his qoutes on the Nigger album (LOL). Nas will do what he wants you can’t tell him nothin. Just like Jay-Z and other rap dudes when they talk people will listen they may not agree but they get there point across to the whole of hip hop.

If it was a rapper that hasn’t even gone gold and people dont listen to them then you would be like what is he doing, he is doing it for attention but Nas is doing it with an intention to maybe educate people from his perspective of the word.

#17…He’s not saying Nas album title is misguided…he’s saying the criticism of the use of the word is misguided.

white bread wrote on November 3rd, 2007 at 1:54 pm

the strongest drive is not to love or hate on the album title, but it is one rapper needs to change the mind body n soul of hiphop n the community that we live in, n the statue that create the hiphop world into a different form n built the status of hiphop is to support.

white bread wrote on November 3rd, 2007 at 1:57 pm

basicaly what im saying is we shouldn’t jugde the album title but support the it.

Queen of Intellect wrote on November 4th, 2007 at 1:54 pm

The video subtitle is misleading. He’s not calling Nas’s choice for the album misguided. He’s actually calling the assault on the word “Nigga” misguided. Whoever created the subtitle needs to actually listen to the content of the video!

I support Nas

But in all honesty, Def Jam WILL NOT release a album called “NIGGER”. They cant put up billboards or run commercial promoting that. Its not gonna happen, media will apprehensive to except it even if its entitled “The N”, just based off of the fact that he WANTS to call it “NIGGER”.

But if it were up to me, I’d let him drop the album, its much needed for the simple fact that its him. His voice carries much weight.
