I bought the cd last night..I was in line with about 30 people at target…..the shelves were empty for Jay-z at first….we had to wait for the manager to open up two more shipments….i swear in 5 min. they were all gone again. Folks were buying two and three copies. One lady said for her sons and a co-worker. I put in in my Car and had a 30 min drive…The entire CD reads like a NOVEL!!!!!!!! Every cut was fire, i am not on his dick i am simply saying..This man has lyical content, clever rhymes ect…the production is a beast…..I put this one with BLUE PRINT and Reasonable Doubt! I felt like I was at his show…..Does any one else love “Ignorant Shit” and “Success” like i am….I swear the people that hate jay are clearly 12 and under…they have been brainwashed into believing that Soulier Boy and Hurricane Chris are HIP HOP….Poor things they just dont know what they are missing…this album Is a CLASSIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!HOVIES HOME! oh, I had to but chris Brown w/ the DVD for my little girl…so we all went home with a smile!

  22. On Blast Says:

I wouldn’t go as far as to call Jay a religion.. lol (I would never address another man as Hova or any form of God) but the truth is Jay’s album is lyrically flawless at most points during American Gangster. Songs like “American Dreamin”, “I Know”, “Pray”, and “Fallin” truthfully don’t have one bad note or misspent lyric, the shit is honestly amazing lol, Jay did the damn thing on this album, it is definitely not for anyone who can’t comprehend lyric driven hip hop and the correlation with the movie makes it even better. I know most will hesistate to say it, but this is a Classic Album and proves that the Kingdom Come effort was for shit.

“If you believe in Jay-Z, you to can be a Gangster” .. lol I had to point that out b/c it was the corniest thing on the entire album and makes absolutely no sense. Good thing it happens in the intro and the rest of the album gives you ample time and reason to forget about it.

  25. jm Says:

I Know is not exactly a female song whoever was bitchin about songs for females. Its about a girl addicted to drugs. And its the shit

  26. BluEyez Soul Baybee!! Says:
