Any addiction is hard to cope with much less a parents addiction. It must be an unbearable situation to undergo when you have so much love in the world from your fans and in the eyes of the public you may be on top of the world yet can’t get the person who may be the world to you fight something thats killing them. All the bling and money can’t get his mom to quit because as she said she wont quit till shes ready. If only she could realize how selfish she is being putting that kind of burden on her son and how it impacts his life. Smh…..

at some point he has to leave her alone and let her do her, momma or not, shes grown and he has a life he has to live. from what i have seen, crackheads hit rockbottom before they get help and get clean. u have to be hard on crackheads and show them that it aint no love for people who are destroying themselves and their families. i hope al goes well for them.
most people take a situation like that and turn it into an excuse for why they do wrong. he turned his negativity into positivty, much respect for mario.

@number 4 he has talked about his mom being on drugs years ago. Do you know how many young children are dealing with their parents on hard drugs everyday. He has stated before he has been dealing with this since shildhood. I cant stand judgemental ass people.

Nah money cant solve REAL problems. I connect mostly with artists that show the reality that impacts their life. But everyone wants to PARTY LIKE A ROCKSTAR !!! Like thats what life is all about. never was never will be. Dont get me wrong I likes to have me some fun, but theres more important shyt going on these days to have our heads up our asses 24/7 …thats my word !!

It took my father’s life when I was only 6!!!! He was from DC and left my mom for a Heroine addict and 6 years later he was D-E-A-D!!!!

YOu have HEROINE and CRACK mixed up!!! There is NO COMPARISON with the drugs or the users. Most Crack heads don’t end up overdosing. I don’t even think I have EVER heard of anyone overdosing on crack….at least not without surviving. With HEROINE, the first time you get high is as high as you will EVER get on that drug but your threashold or tolerance to the drug does UP!!! So what happens is you ar chasing a high that you will NEVER get again, while putting MORE and MORE and MORE poison in you body, trying to get there!!!

Yeah I knew about his mom’s situation and since I knew he was from Baltimore I knew it was probably on another level, but didn’t know he would have a show about it. I’ve been in his shoes so I think the show will be interesting to watch.

i don’t think he’s exposing her. i think he’s just telling his story…everyone deserves that chance. this is a good look, there are a lot of kids out there who may watch this and identify with him and not feel so alone. plus, i am sure she gave her consent to this or mtv wouldn’t be able to air it. and if this gets his name in a couple mags, blogs and radio dj’s mouths, then good for him. he’s a talented artist and he deserves all the success he gets.
