Stop The Madness: American Gangster Dedicates A Show To The D.C. Snipers
BET’s controversial hit show, “American Gangster,” starts it’s second season tonight at 10 p.m. This season takes a look at, The Philly Black Mafia, Larry Hoover, Melivn Williams, Frank Lucas, Felix Mitchell, Jeff Fort, Chaz Williams, Rayful Edmond III, Kenneth McGriff & The D.C. Snipers. The show takes a look at the life of famous African American criminals. While glorifying the criminal lifestyle the show tries to show that crime doesn’t pay in the end.
I don’t know how BET defines, “Gangster,” but it appeared to be mainly people making a lot of money by selling drugs based on Season 1. So I find it odd that BET feels that the D.C. Snipers deserve an episode. What is gangster about shooting random with no purpose? It is bad enough to dedicate a show to people that murder for money, but now people that killed for no reason?

You know what, BET is shit. Straight up. I have noticed that there shows provokes and promotes stereotypes of African Americans, and all those stereotypes are negative and tastless. The show Hell Date is cool on the surface, but it’s really about making us look like foolish clowns. Or American Gangster, It’s showing Blacks committing crimes and glorifying these criminals as cool and ‘gangster.’ Even 106 and park, all the hosts after AJ and Free have been light skinned or latino. What is that shi*?, Telemundo is not hiring anymore-lol. But honestly, BET is really, well WAS the only television network for Blacks, and know it’s not really for us, it’s to make our race look like a laughing stock. I mean the whites have NBS, CBS, FOX,etc,etc, The latino have Telemundo and a few more. It’s actually sad but this world is fu*ked so what do I expect?

Nothing wrong with this show. Everybody that they have shown ending up paying for the life they chose. Not one got off easy. Now on the flip side they should have a show called American success and show black people that have succeeded without drugs or rap or sports. Let kids know there are alternative ways to living the American dream.
