Marion Jones Admits To Cheating
Marion Jones, the American sports star who won five track-and-field medals at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, formally accepted a plea agreement from the government today at the United States District Court here, pleading guilty to making false statements to federal agents about her use of performance-enhancing drugs. She also pleaded guilty to making false statements to federal agents in connection with a separate check fraud case.
Damn she won 5 medals(3 gold) at the 2000 Olympics and will most likely have to give them all back. She really thought she would be able to get away with this? Barry Bonds is still claiming he hasn’t used extra help but who knows what the future holds.

She may have admitted to doping, but I don’t think they should strip her of her medals. After all, she still had to put in phenomenal amounts of effort to achieve that medal…

Man I am so disappointed in her. I remember arguing with my friends telling them that it was God given talent and hard work..
Man they should take back everyone last one of those medals, this steroids thing is getting out of hand now.
Play fair, Play hard or go home. And for Young Chris who thinks that teh pill doesn’t give that much edge did you see how she fell off after teh investigation started and she was not using the drugs anymore, dude she was barely qualifying for semi-finals.

Did any of you even see the races she ran, most of them had her barely winning or coming in front by just a few steps. Most of those other girls probably use roids too, you don’t see them coming forward. Its fucked up that she used steroids but when I saw her on TV crying her eyes out about this shit I knew either this chick got blackmailed into confessing or she is one dumb trick(for lack of a better word).

all of the athletes are cheaters from lewis, johnson to greene. i dont trust any of them. Remember what ben johnson said in 1994 “They made me a scapegoat for the americans, 90% of them are cheaters too.”

most track atheletes are on roids. they are just going after the figureheads of the sport. shame. why doesnt america accept the fact that most top level atheletes will do whatever it takes to get an edge!!! even carl lewis was doping up, he just didn’t get caught

To say that most athletes are on “roids” is completely stereotypical, there are athletes who DO have the talent and actually become their best without any enhancement drugs. Veronica Jackson & Asafa Powell both runners who have done very well i’m sure many others outside of the Caribbean. The problem with the US athletes is the competition is A HELL OF LOT stiffer due to the numbers which go in. Irregardless it doesn’t give anyone the right to cheat the “naturalists” out of their glory. Marion Jones should be stripped of her medals and I am disappointed in the moral’s of the athletes of today.
