What Effects Are Rap Videos Having On Young Black Females?

Watching rap music videos that are overly sexy and violent can lead to alcohol abuse and promiscuity among young black girls, according to a study into sexual stereotypes in rap music footage.

U.S. researchers found young black girls who spent more time watching rap music videos were more likely to binge drink, have sex with multiple partners, test positive for marijuana and have a negative body image.

Full Story

I can’t say I’m surprised by the results. Kids are watching too much rap videos and imitating what they see. Girls are looking up to video girls instead of people like Oprah.

b4 i even read tha article, i just wanna say i do not want my daughter growin up to be like oprah. well, there are certain oprah qualities i wud like my daughter to posses but that lady got some issues. she a feminist. why yall think she aint married?. a woman with that much power hatin on men talkin bout “im not married because i do not want to get married” is a bad influence to our young sistas

  2. Georgia Peach in the Big Apple Says:

To the guy above me, that is one of the most ignorant statements I’ve ever heard. Who says that getting married is always the RIGHT thing to do? There are so many people that get married just to be married, and then the marriages end up failing and everyone suffers. Oprah is so powerful in society today, that it would be hard to find a man who would not be intimidated by her success. REAL TALK. Getting married should not be an obligation. If she wants to focus more on her career and philantrophy, that is her decision. She is not HATING ON MEN. However, I will agree that she somewhat hates on the hip hop community, but that’s another discussion. RealTalk, I aplaud you for posting this article. In fact, I’m going to re-post on my site.

  3. About rhymes Says:

I’m not surprised by these results either.young kids are most likely to imitate what they see on t.v.At that age teenagers seem not to have mind of their own, most are corcerned of what others think about them which leads to them easily become a victim to peer pressure. If you look at today’s popular culture sex and recklessness is heavy emphasized.Rap videos are just 5 percent of the problem,They are many other factors
that are much bigger influences on girls behavior than rap.

  4. Juicy Says:

yea, #1 is trippin #2 i co-sign. anyway, i would love for my daughter to be more like oprah than a video hoe anyday. oprah got to where she is because she was smart. she didnt have to shake her ass or become a sex symbol to become filthy rich. whats wrong with yall fools man? who cares hates on hip hop, you mean to tell me if your daughter was oprah, ud be pissed cause she dont stand behind hip hop? oprah is a woman who stands for so many issues and has worked hard to get to where she is. i would love for my daughter to be that type of woman. strong, intelligent, independent and paid.

its crazy cause i see 3 and 4 year olds dancing like video hoes and they moms be yellin, “get it nu nu, get it!!!” thats so sick to me, my daughter knows better than to do that kind of shit. i DO NOT let her watch videos, i dont bring all kinds of niggas around my kids, no drugs and shit. even though the videos are a negative influence on our children, we still need to teach.

  5. blaze Says:

to no 3, dont git me wrong, shes a great lady, what lady do what female on earth do u know with out a cinderella story. u cant possibly tell me oprah neva wanted to git married. no man is intimidated by her success, its just these successfull women always manage to ruin relationships cuz they wanna wear tha pants in tha relationship. real talk. oprah aint married cuz she cant find a man as successfull as her, not cuz she dont wanna git married. shes just usin that excuse to cover up her pain. i betchu every night she cries her self to sleep. trust me, i cud see way beyond tha tv screen and rite thru her.

  6. T2 Says:

I AGREE THAT IT MAY HAVE AN EFFECT ON YOUNG FEMALES BUT WE HAVE TO LOOK INTO EVERYTHING WE HAVE TO LOOK INTO THE MODELING BUSINESS, WE ALSO HAVE TO LOOK AT FEMALE MUSICIANS WHO SHOW JUST AS MUCH FLESH AS HIP HOP VIDEO GIRLS (BEYONCE, RIHANNA, CHRISTINA AGUILERA & PUSSY CAT DOLLS ETC).

AS USAL THEY WILL DISMISS ALL OF THAT AND PUT THE BLAME ON HIP HOP ALONE WHICH IT IS PART OF THE BLAME BUT LESS THAN ALOT OF OTHER FORMS OF ENTERTAINMENT IN MY OPINION.

  7. hip-hop-momma Says:

i have to disagree on this one. Children imitate what they see at home. My kids were raised on hip hop and my daughter does not drink and my son is a moderate drinker. I have always discussed programs with my kids. Just like I do with my younger kids now. We watch Maury and discuss the consequences of peoples actions. We watch the videos and talk about them. I do not censor their music but they know how to act. Talk to your kids and be up front with them and tear they ass up when they fuck up and teach them to be accountable for their actions and they will turn out OK.

  8. Im selling oranges papi....Club rolexx finest! Says:

    @ Juicy thats right girl!

Im not surprised at all! but then again y’all (realtalk) does not help because everyday other day VIDEO GIRLS like Lauren London and Angel Lola Love, Eva mendez who also used to do videos are worshipped consistantly on this site. Glorifying these women. Can you blame an impressionable mind of a child, if these girls are associated with rewards for their looks and actions. Super head a HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOE but she filthy rich and people paying her stank ass. She call herself a ‘ROLE MODEL’???? WOW. If we are a manifestation of our media representation this is what girls look up to?

It is NOT up to the media to raise our kids, but it still has its effects.

  9. black boy Says:

over here in canada, montreal or toronto its different womens of all races do that mostly white girls!!im tellin u life is better in canada.

  10. Def Jam Inc. Says:

I really was discussed with the “Pop, Lock & Drop it” video…By Huey, that really hurts me and I don’t even have a daughter yet. But yeah…Sometimes I WANT to say “FUCK HIP HOP”. Smh…

  11. black boy Says:

shit wont change in the u.s cuz yall got the wrong mentality! theres a bout 500 murders in canada each compare to ….. in the us in general,we dont even lock ours doors in big cities

  12. Broadway Says:

kids imitate chicken noodle soup, and soulja boy… the education starts at home, the problem is, parents are rarely home to educate and keep an eye on their children, just don’t blame rap videos, there’s top model, bull shit mtv realty shows, sweet sixteen, countless other bullshit shows that give children the wrong impression, i love NY, flavor of love…it starts wit the family.

I time tired of these articles… write and article about what effect those the single parent household has on children…

  13. queen Says:

co-sign #6, stop giving kids excuses for bad behavior. period.

  14. Pounce Says:

Its a fact that kids imitate what they see. They normally get into whatever the parents are into also. This just seems like another thing that people blame hip hop for. Movies can have a kid crazy to.

White kids watch rock n roll videos and end up dressing gothic in all black, popping ex and doing coke. But I guess thats not an issue. What was the reason for marijuana, drinking in sex in the past. In the 70’s it was about free drugs and sex and that was before hiphop videos got dirty like they are now.

I co-sign whoever said in another post that hiphop is getting blamed for everything now adays. Surprised Bush hasnt blamed 50 for the war in iraq.

  15. BlackIce Says:

Hip Hip is the blame for everything from Global Warming to the war in Iraq…. yeah fucking right, I have a 14 year old daughter who loves her some TI, but I’m her father & I keep her grounded by being the most influential MAN in her life. The people need to start raising their kids & stop letting the TV, the STREETS & other people raise their kids…. It’s not HIP HOP or the videos, it’s these parents out there who don’t now how to or care to raise their own children………

  16. Flippin-s Says:

Nobody is forcing the females to be in the videos.

  17. santana Says:

    number 2 tell it

  18. Juicy Says:

bottom line, u have to take care of your kids and dont let the media raise them. hip hop is being blamed for everything, but at the same time, it shouldnt be so damn negative nowadays. people arent even being creative anymore.

  19. FLAHOMIE Says:

FUCK OPRAH REALTALK IS U CRAZY???? THAT BITCH HAD SEX SPECIALISTS ON HER SHOW TALKN BOUT TOSSIN SALADS N USIN WEIGHTS N THEY PUSSY! DUNT TELL ME THAT BITCH IS A FUCKN ROLE MODEL, SUM THEM VIDEO GIRLS IS KOOL THEY ASPIRE TO BE PROFESSIONAL MODELS OR ACTRESSES IM NOT SAYIN EVERY BITCH SHAKIN THEY ASS THEY SHOULD LOOK UP 2…HOW CAN U LADIES SIT HERE READN THIS SHIT WHEN 50 IS RIGHT SHE A BLACK WOMAN TRAPPED N A WHITE WOMEN BODY WHO CATERS TO WHITE WOMENS ISSUES AND WHITE PPL IN GENERAL,SO OPRAH BECAME FAMOUS BY BECOMIN A PUPPET WHO SPEAKS FOR WHITE WOMEN. MAYBE IM TRIPPIN BUT I TELL U RIGHT NOW IF STATIONS LIKE BET MTV N VH1 WANTED TO PROTECT THE KIDS THEN THEY WOULDNT HAVE CERTAIN VIDEOS ON WHEN KIDS R UP, THE SHIT SHOULD BE ON AFTA HOURS LATE AT NITE. THE FAULT SHOULD BE PLACED WIT THE BIG EXECUTIVES AT MTV N BET FOR TARGETIN LIL KIDS N ALLOWIN THAT SHIT TO BE ON FOR THE KIDS TO SEE, N THE PARENTS SHOULD BE BLAMED FOR NOT INTERVENIN N LETTIN THEY KIDS SEE IT! ROBERT JOHNSON OWNED BET A BLACK OWNED STATION ONCE HE BECAME A BIG BILLIONAIRE HE JUST SOLD THE SHIT OFF 2 VIACOM (WHITE MAN) N TOOK A LONG VACATION.

  20. theboyillinois Says:

basically, raise ur kids the right way….i have to say if these kids didnt see what they saw on tv..they would see it in their community anyway…so it all falls on the parents or who is raising em. I grew up on the south side of chicago, riased by the blackstones, but that was only in the streets. my moms and pops at home really instilled values in me to make me who i am today, i never smoked or drank a day in my life.

  21. desert Says:

    YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO……….

I’M BLACK AND I GOTTA SAY.. I HATE SHIT LIKE THIS POST OF RTNY…

“What Effects Are Rap Videos Having On Young Black Females?”

Why do we address the problem and say “Young Black Females”…. Why not our “young females”…. if we keep addressing everything and adding the colour/ethnicity to it… well a problem of racism will always exist.. I don’t see colour, I see one love.. 1 people… Black white brown yellow i dont give a fuck..

Anyone who disagrees with me will always be stuck in racism also…

    Grow the fuck up world..
We might be a diff colour, but we are all one people… in a few years we will all prob be the same.. well the next generation, everyone will prob be brown, hate it or love it.. its true…….

    PEACE. 1

  22. tdollaznj Says:

Ummmm like girls weren’t doing all of that stuff before rap music came out….probably more during the 70’s and 80’s as far as drugs an sex go. Im sick of rap being blamed for everything….sex is a big part of our lives thats why women wear clothes that show off their breasts and hips because they want to attract a man to have sex with. this would be happening with or without rap. the thing that kills is these same feminist talk about how cruel muslim men are because they make teir women cover everything but their face. im sure their are more pertinent things that black people should be trying to reform other than our music which is just a reflection of life in urban America.
and FU*K Oprah what degrees (honorary degrees do not count) does she have that makes her opinion valid.

  23. Bill Says:

This conclusions of this research is false. It does not prove causation. Just because two things are correlated does not mean that one causes the other. You can’t conclude from this study that Rap videos causes promiscuity… You can only conclude that they are related…

  24. SPIDERPIG Says:

“well a problem of racism will always exist.. I don’t see colour, I see one love.. 1 people… Black white brown yellow i dont give a fuck..”

IT’S NOT RACIST TO USE THE TERM “BLACK” WHEN THE INTENT BEHIND USING THE WORD IS TO SIMPLY SPECIFY THE AUDIENCE SO AS TO AVOID EITHER CONFUSION,UNNECESSARY QUESTIONS,OR FUTURE MISINTERPRETATION,FOR EXAMPLE, “RUGERS RIB SHACK IS LOCATED IN THE HEART OF A PREDOMINANTLY BLACK NEIGHBORHOOD…”

THOUGH,WHILST THIS IS TRUE ^,IT DOES NOT APPLY TO EVERY ETHNICITY;YOU CANNOT USE THE NOUN ‘YELLOW’ TO DESCRIBE A PERSON OF ASIAN ORIGIN,FOR EXAMPLE, “MY HUNGER FOR A MEAL OF RIBS IS WHAT LED ME TO ‘GERUs’,THE FINEST RIB OUTLET IN ALL OF ASIA.AS I MADE MY WAY TO A PINK HIGH BACK CHAIR WITH A DECORATIVE SKULL ON TOP,I FELT THE EYES OF THE YELLOW PEOPLE AROUND ME PIERCE MY BACK LIKE A 2AM BROOKLYN SHOOTING…”

*NOTE=ALL QUOTATIONS WERE TAKEN DIRECTLY FROM “GOONIES:MEALS AND DESSERTS” BY TYRONE ‘MWAAAH!’ RIBBS.

  25. P Says:

I do not censor their music but they know how to act.

    Very well said. Completely agree.

But uh… fuck Oprah. I’ll be damned if my unborn child grows up to be a professional hypocrite.

  26. Mahagony01 Says:

Everybody has excuses for the irresponsible manner we are being portrayed on television, music and movies. It’s okay if some of the videos shows titties and ass but all of them are based on fucking! What type of influence is that having on the little kids? It would be different if some videos did this and there were others that received the same attention and rotation, but that is not the case. And all of you know this unless you are blind or deaf. I love hip hop but what I am seeing now I have now labeled as shit hop. Hip Hop used to be diverse, now it’s all about sex and who has the fattest ass and drives the best cars or wears the most expensive jewelry. We are pumping garbage into these kids heads and it is what it is, there is no denying that.

  27. bmorecoolgirl Says:

i’m not suprised. It’s an inevitable effect on young Black women, not just in hip hop, but tv in general portrays sex on almost every channel. Even some of the cartoons have some explicit materials. It sad! Any suggestions how we can stop it. Anybody got a couple billion so we can buy out the marketing exect, ect.. oh well. Just a bundle of lost hope. *so PARENTS watch your little Black princesses, mold them and let them know they have Queens running in thier blood lines. Even if they watch the music videos teach them that what those women do is skanky, and they are expected to do better than what they see.

  28. turkishjamaican Says:

No matter what if u are a strong parent u let ur lil girl now whats up..i have 2 daughters and as a strong father i will guide them specially cuz i know these streetz with everything in it.Peace to all the parents..raise ur kids man!

  29. Necole Bitchie Says:

I have to say this is true. Although you have to blame parents for letting the television babysit their kids at the end of the day, there is alot of young women out here that want to be the next Superhead. They look at videos and want to be that video chick and that’s sad. I also blame it on single parent households. One parent can only do but so much.

  30. jayjay624 Says:

I JUST WANNA KNOW WHO CONDUNCTED THIS STUDY. “US RESEARCHERS”?????? did they sit in the living room with them while videos was on the screen and then go tape their daily lives??????

  31. County Of Kings Says:

sum of ya’ll people out there are taking it personally when rtny post sumthing like this. i like posts like this cuz it makes hiphop look in the mirror. yes sexism was around b4 hiphop was, but its at an all time high, not in hiphop but in america as a whole.
now i want to focus on the hiphop side of things because that effects MY PEOPLE THE MOST. its hard to compete wit the images on tv. rent is high, wages are low. sum parents have to work 2 or 3 jobs, so if they kids see sum videos, or sumone at school shows them sumthin slutty its gonna have an effect.
girls want to be sexy, attractive, wanted. and hiphop used to show, around the way girls sexy, working girls sexy, mothers, sisters sexy, school girls sexy. now hiphop just shows strippers sexy thats it. so all girls think is if i want to be sexy i have to act like a stripper and if i dont then boys wont like me. and all girls wanted to be liked at that young age

  32. County Of Kings Says:

its fucked up, u know i still meet grown women today that have goals of becoming a video girl, thats it. this research is long overdue.

i dont care about what influences white girls on mtv, fuck them, we need to worry bout the black girls cuz they are our future and while the white girls are becoming more slutty, our black girls could become more intelligent, instead it seems like we’re competing with them

its almost not enuff to just raise your own kids. u gotta put them in the right expensive school, cuz u know public school will wash away your teaching, cuz peer pressure is real and every one falls victim at one time or another. have them hang with the right friends, do background checks, meet other parents, u cant trust your community any more cuz even though u raising your kids, no one else is raising theirs and there fuckin up your teachings. then u gotta move out your community to live sumwhere where people share your views and values. and we dont make enuff money for that so we have to change the things that influence our hoods

  33. Getting Gwap Says:

So young girls wearing stilettos and mini skirts are immitating what they see in hip hop videos?

What if the young girl’s mother dresses up like that and the little one is actually immitating her?

What about a lot of people (adults)who actually like what they see in hip hop videos?

Can’t just stop for the sake of children, for instance porn is bad for kids but you can’t stop making them just for the sake of children.

If you don’t want your kids watching hip hop videos then stress it to them. You can’t control what they do when you’re not around so that’s where the education you taught and teach them come into play.

Don’t blame hip hop to make yourselves feel good about your F-ups.

  34. County Of Kings Says:

i want my kids to like hiphop cuz i like hip hop, if i like a song, and then i see the video and its full of strippers should i tell my kid , u cant watch the stripper videos but u can watch every thing else, or u cant watch videos at all.
then they go to school and all the kids are talking about it, should i take them out the school or make them the outcast. and then if they best friends are talkin about and imitating the video , should i make them get new friends.how many times should i do this. at the risk of fuckin up my childs childhood and make their lives miserable cuz the masses follow the bullshit on tv. the bullshit on tv needs to change

the difference is we always had freaky strippers in hiphop but it was sumthin done behind the scenes. now its the thing to do, they glorify it and try to make it look cool and fun. being a slut used to be bad, now its like whatever so what. and as far as black people go i dont blame paris hilton, i blame lil kim. black girls dont want to be like paris hilton, cuz she aint from the hood she dont look like them, lil kim looks like them, and if she’s can do it so can they

  35. Baby Milo Says:

Poor kids -_-. I dont think they should change a damn thing!

  36. Juicy Says:

i dont blame it on single parent households and i take offense to it as well. i know quite a few people, family members that have grwon up with 2 parents and it wasnt any better. what matters it what type of parent you are, 1 or 2 doesnt matter. and hell if there are 2 parents in a house that have a fucked up realtionship, that can damage a child as well. its all about how you do it and make sure u do it well. be there for your kids and never let up on them. hip hop momma said it right and so did alot of other parents on the blog. i have 1 daughter and 2 boys, they grew up around hip hop, hell we make music together and they arent out here bad likt the article says.

  37. Rotex Says:

I definately agree with the article. Most girls are poppin, lockin, and droppin it every where they go u know, and its not decent at all.

  38. TU Says:

i still don’t understand why rap/hip hop is to blame…its time to give it a rest. there are other things/factors out there besides rap/hip hop

  39. Dangerous Science Says:

What is so interesting about all of this, is that they are focusing on young BLACK girls…they didn’t just say young girls in general…they’re saying, “Look at what Hip Hop is doing to our young BLACK girls…they’re becoming promiscuous, they’re this, they’re that”…

Now, what about young WHITE girls like “Little Courtney”? She’s becoming anorexic, she’s purging, she’s taking ecstacy…but do they FOCUS on young WHITE girls like “Little Courtney”? Absolutely not.

My point is, this is another attempt for the media to target Hip Hop on something that is an internal problem within the family, not a social problem. They’re blaming Hip Hop videos for morally breaking down young BLACK girls in society, but yet they fail to mention the fact that Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, is really what young girls are looking at, it’s leeches like Superhead that young girls are looking at. Hip Hop is a reflection of society, and unfortunately we are now more sex crazed since the 70’s. It’s not just the music, it’s television, it’s movies…I’ve seen on the news one time, a lady and her husband let her 5 year old triplett daughters watch “Nip/Tuck”…she said, “The drama is dark, and *giggles* realistic, and they love it!” If you know that particular show, it is NOT suitable for young kids. So in reality, you can’t blame Hip Hop, because Hip Hop only brings the truth to light. Parents should stop being selfish about getting ahead in the world with money and material things and pleasing themselves with personal pleasures, but focus on raising their children into becoming better adults, citizens in society, and know what’s right and wrong according to right morals.

    PEACE AND ONE LOVE!!!
    Dangerous Science

  40. Marq Says:

I will not waste my time reading this mess. Rappers, and sports stars should not be raising your kids. This is just another attack on Hip-Hop and whats sad is Hip-Hop has taken alot of “Black” families out of the ghetto, and made more millionaires for Blacks then anything else, and now the Whiteman was it to end so, he use us to fight each other, and in the end he is the winner again. WAKE UP BLACK PEOPLE. Raise your own fucking kids!!

  41. Marq Says:

Sorry about the typo’s . I normallt spell better then that, it just pisses me off to see Hip-Hop under attack. What is causing all of these White kids to go shoot up therir schools? See the double standard, they need mental help, but when its a Black, its Hip-Hop???

  42. The King Says:

    to #39 dangerous science
who cares about what lil britney does, or what makes white girls act like whores.and lindsay lohan, paris hilton, and britney spears, even kim kardashian.
    fuck those white bitches.
i want to focus on BLACK PEOPLE, white people gonna be alright and if they wont thats better for us. i want them to have the problem. not us.
if we aint moving forward we’re moving backwards. i dont give a fuck about solving a white girl crisis. i want the world to focus on the black girl crisis cuz that effects my community. when our closet is clean then we can focus on white issues.
the black girls are whats important to us,so let the focus be on them, and if u rather concentrate on white girl issues than do u. but i’m happy white girls are on a downward spiral, that makes room for black women to take they spot, so lets encourage white whores, and condemn black ones

  43. white boy Says:

im a dude……i don’t no how the female mind work when it come to female watching rap video, and the effect that they have when they are watching it. but i can honestly say that i do see the different slutty character in most women, as far as the way they act and dress that put certain thought in my head, that make me wonder why are they dressing and acting this way. and i have to admitt that rap music video now and days are changing and effecting, the minds of young kid and teens especially women who become strippers hoe’s or prostitute, and most who resort to violence drugs and alcohol, even women who sleeps around get pregnant have a baby and don’t no who the father is. then they wonder why they are look at as slut. i also feel that rap is way different from hiphop, when i was a kids back in the day i use to listen to hiphop focusing on the lyric, and i feel that the different type of messages that it send and taught me was all about positive thing. i mean as a kid when a hiphop artist rap about strippers and prostitution they didn’t rap about how good it was, they rap about how explicide and real prostitution was along with strippers and also hoe’s would walking the streets. that was what hiphop explained not saying that those were the only topic that a hiphop artist rap about. i mean they did rap about other thing beside those topic, but im just putting it is an example of what they rap about, and the real message that they included. and even tho those topic were negetive lot of the hiphop artist, explain it in a way were we new that prostitution and stripping was wrong. even the way a hiphop artist would said it lyrically, they would create it in a form were you new that they are expressing how bad prostitution and stripping was. opposed to a rap artist when they would rap about it, they would actually put those explicid sence in there video, and at the same time they would represent it by saying it in there lyric. about how much of a sexy bitch a stripper was, and how much prostitute they pimped in a day. now im not saying that i have a problem with it, cuz it ain’t my ass who is acting out as what i see on TV. but tryin to explain that when these lil girls see a women dancing on a pole with there ass out that it shouldn’t attract them, but instead it does attract them in to thinking that it cool to imitating those thing, but then when a dude call them a bitch they get offended by that, being that they no deep down inside that there not what they see on TV. and i feel that if these are the type of character that these lil girl are picking up, and act it out then it ashame. but what can people and parent do about it when it has already effecting lot of young girl. and if it not a video that is effecting them. then it the streets or a friends that is causing it to happen period……….luckily there education and sports that these young kids have.

  44. DJGX Says:

i believe tht videos persuade them to but don’t make them. its based on how they’re raised and who they hang out with but yea rap videos are persuasive for negative stuff.and for all the people who disagree lemme remind you of these dance moves:’laffy taffy”jukin”pop, lock and drop it’etc….
these dance moves are sexual and you can’t say they don’t have a negative influence…im not perfect myself but its true tht rap has influence on promiscuity.

  45. Ares Says:

#8 hit it right on the head, you can’t talk about glorifying Oprah as being better when you’re constantly glorifying video hos at every chance. It’s gotta be equal or people will never look at more positive black females for role models. I can’t remember who commented but come on now, do you really see Bey, Rih and Christina showing as much ass as Lola luv? I highly doubt it. These girls in rap videos are like a piece of one inch cloth away from being booty butt naked.

  46. van Says:

i dont watch bet anymore anyway it takes a real parent to tell their children what the difference of being a leader and a follower.

  47. nasahlon Says:

    no effect

  48. Aamarian Says:

well im a black female and ir dosent affect me if your parents teach u that u dont have to be damn near naket shaking your ass to get attention of feel wanted then u good and why does it have to be targeted towaeds black females i dont know what yall see when yall look at these music videos but now most of the girls in the videos are hispanic/spanish so it should be directed towards women in general but noobody made those girls shake their ass half naked in those videos so u cant blame the rappers blames the hoes in the videos talking about their video models like their tyra, naomi, or giselle or something they aint nothing but some hoes trying to get paid by sleeping with all those niggas and shaking they ass they can only blame themselves u cant blame the men and dudes iknow dont treat girls like hoes if u carry yourself like a hoe a dude will treat u like one if u carry yourself with respect then men will treat u as such real talk

    GMC WE ALL WE GOT…

  52. County Of Kings Says:

the fucked up thing that lil girls dont know or realize is that these rappers act like they love the company of hoes, and girls wanna be in their company right. but the rapper doesnt show the lil girls who they go home to, they portray a different character on tv, then go home to they respectable wives and families. if the rappers would show the world that they dont like the company of hoes and really cherish and love respectable women it would have a different effect. but they show u they love hoes and keep they wives hidden away in the dark becuz it would hurt they image and they gotta keep it hood. cuz master at the record company said so

first off, man fuck oprah. i got some personal issues wit dat bitch. but fuck her. u gotta look at the big picture. everybody knew this was gonna end up happening. people was sayin this when “the box” got cut off in like 97. the farther technology goes, the more shit like this is gonna happen. okay say they stop making videos where females is shakin they ass. lil girls can still go on the internet and see females shake they ass. this shit is only gonna get worse, and there’s nothin anybody can do about it. the more access we give kids to see shit like this, the more they gonna do this type of shit. thats just the way it is. when i was little, they didnt have fuckin Axe deodorant commercials. u couldnt get the “wanna lick” ringtone downloaded to the fuckin house phone. shit like this is gonna happen because of today’s culture. not because of rap videos. this was a dumb ass research study. niggas need to find the cure to cancer or suttin. not lookin at groups of girls who watch bitches shake they ass and wonder why they wanna shake they ass. that shit is obvious

It seems like everyone wants to place the blame on hip hop music but where are these kids parents? These are the people that we need to blame. The television does not team them everything. They need to do a study and see if these kids parents do drugs and shake there ass do not blame the music it is just entertainment. Just like any movie with sex in it.
