T.I. Update
Surrounded by record executives and 35 of his relatives, rapper T.I. entered a not guilty plea Friday to gun charges, but a federal judge said he won’t rule until next week on whether T.I. can remain free on a bail that could total $2 million in cash.
Baverman said he is concerned that Harris might be a flight risk. He said he wants to look into the monitoring service recommended by the defense attorney, and will ask for $2 million in cash for the bail bond, and for Harris to pledge the equity in both his houses, valued at $1.5 million.
Atlantic Records offered up to 2.2 million for T.I.’s bail. Right now he’s praying to be put on house arrest, good luck.

COSIGN #2…#1 PLEASE DON’T BE AN IDIOT ANYMORE OK.
October 19th, 2007 at 12:02 pm
It’s really not looking good for ti…This situation is looking real bad…To the extent of ti probably hoping he was in Mike Vick’s shoes right about now…I’m feeling for him and his family, and word has it that Tiny is pregnant again with their 2nd child…Tough break…
I keep hearing he may face the complete 10 years…Feds don’t care who you are and how much money you got…look at what happened with Jacob the Jeweler in jail for 25 years…I hope that 10 year stint isn’t true…If so, he’s over…

I really hate to agree wit #2, but dudes right.
I still would like to see homie get off though.
But I always thought that niggas with power, always hired shooters so that they’d never have to be in situations like this.

Let me start by saying next to Jay I feel like TI is the next in line to run Hip Hop. With that said you have to be realistic in saying that yo fucked himself. I know peeps are going to say he was just being ready for beef, or whatever, but lets be real you a felon with 2 strikes so you gotta be smarter than that. I know as a man you have to have pride, heart, courage etc…. but you also have to be the point person for the family. Yo got a couple kids and a girl, so how you goin leave them hanging and you lookin at a min of 3yrs and a max of like 15yrs. i hate to see a blk man go down especially one in his position, but we got to realize that the white and blk media will build you up, just to bring you down. TI hold ya head, good luck with the trial.
October 19th, 2007 at 12:36 pm
Well said Doc Carter, TI is still in 17 year old mode and I have no idea why that is to be admired by some people. TI was buying those guns for show, no other purpose. As Doc said how do you not think about your kids, you should be tryin to do everything possible to stay out of trouble. Even though dude is a convict, I still think he should have a weapon in the home and on him at times, but all you need is one Beretta or a 9 and that will protect you just fine. I don’t wish jail on any brotha, but you have to account for your actions as a man. Unfortunately there will be plenty of wanna be thugs and a whole host of females that will scream “Free TI” which will simply further impeade his growing up and becoming a real man. Our mindstates as a black community is depressing sometimes.

do we think that the record company put up sum cash cuz they got luv for they homie?
or is this a death row/tupac situation where if he gets out the records will sell even more?
i wanna think its a good thing but i’m 90% sure its not. they wouldnt support artist that probably would go to jail for protesting things like the jena 6, put they would put up bond for a nigga that made these stupid moves. he talks so much about being a boss i thought he was one, but this situation makes me look at him wit disappiontment.
atlantic wanna keep slaving his ass, keeping making that music that gets niggas shot up, dont worry we got your back bro, make another drug and murder anthem please
October 19th, 2007 at 12:56 pm
I don’t see anything wrong with people saying free TI. As long as we dont get it mixed up like he was set up or framed. Fact is dude is a felon and had guns in his house, in his vehicle all while purchasing more.
Its probably a waste of 2 mill. But I am more impressed to see his label supporting him in his time of need. Most big companies stop your sponsorship and turn their back on you. Doesnt matter to me why they are or what their intentions are, they fronting a lot of cake for this guy. Its a constituational right to a speedy trial ect. I think they should free TI… on bail tho. Until he gets his day in court. Thats what due process is for.

t.i. is a moron.he knew how many factors were against him:hip hop awards coming up,bad publicity,he trusted his BODYGUARD with guns, and he had 2 strikes. i can’t say free t.i. cuz i believe homes should have 2 do a few years juss for bein an idiot in the situation. then him and prodigy can make a mixtape called “don’t drop the soap” lmao jkjk ti/prodigy fans (im cool with both but not a fan)
October 19th, 2007 at 1:57 pm

Caught up in the hype. What tha fuck he need all them damn guns 4 anyway, aint like the nigga bout 2 go fight a war.
October 19th, 2007 at 2:32 pm
Real talk make an example out of this nigga, so kids who look up this people as role models dont follow in they footsteps.
October 19th, 2007 at 2:38 pm
Good to see his label behind him but he should of trusted his bodyguard who he employed in July that nigga set him up and his career will be finished if he get a jail from 5 to more years. He will have the best legal team ever if he gets less than 2 years but that bodyguard set him up good and proper.
October 19th, 2007 at 2:54 pm
Let me just say that T.I. is one of the realest niggas in the game right now. With that said, he must also be a complete idiot. What the fuck is he doing with all those guns? And to ask someone that you only hired a few months ago to do something like that for you. Come on!! Not to say that his own friends or family wouldnt dime him out. (Michael Vick) But if you gonna knowingly pay someone to commit a felony for you, you should at least make sure they the “ride or die” type. This is probably one of the only times that I’ll advocate for a STOP SNITCHIN’ campaign.
But it looks like with all those record execs behind him and millions of dollars in his pocket, T.I. might have a shot of at least getting out before the trial. Beating the charges with absolutely no jail time is another story.
October 19th, 2007 at 3:33 pm
We all know what jail time will do for TI. It well help him thrive. But if hes locked up for a while it will hurt him like it did Shyne. Hes been consistently hot for a while now I don’t see jail doing anything negative to affect sales.
FREE TIP!

October 19th, 2007 at 9:52 pm

GMC WE ALL WE GOT…
October 19th, 2007 at 10:45 pm
^ He should rot in prison? Don’t you think thats a little extreme? yes he “allegedly” had guns but as far as I’m concerned the only people who should rot in prison are Child Molesters/ Rapists and Murders but for possession of Fire Arms? no if he indeed wanted to buy the guns then yes i guess he should go to jail but for one thing you can not over look all the good things he has done in his community and call him a shame to the black community yes he has done things wrong but honestly you cannot over look the good he has done as well…. And as far as those guns go you don’t know what was going on his head and we will never know for sure what nightmares he was facing inside ….

has anyone else heard that his BM is bagged too?!?
October 20th, 2007 at 8:54 am
I agree with #9 & 22. TI should be out on bond at least until his trial date. The 3.7 million dollar bond is high and extreme. The judge is power tripping. Not to go racial, but, if this was Eminem, he would be out on bond, under house arrest without a security bondmen having to live with him; being able to drive around when necessary and being able to conduct his professional affairs at all of his offices.
Regarding the guns, it’s very unfortunate and a bad choice; but, there are 2 sides to every story. Hopefully the truth will be revealed soon.

T.I. is a media savy rapper who has appealed to the mainstream world in a very successful manner, despite his lyrical lacking, drowning delivery, and awfully egotistical swagger. As for the weapon charges, 10 years is not enough for this idiot.
October 22nd, 2007 at 12:08 pm
this niggas is finish if all those charges stick, co-sign no.2
October 22nd, 2007 at 2:18 pm

October 23rd, 2007 at 10:49 am
I must say that I am not a big fan of T.I’s music now a days; back when he first hit the scene I loved his music. I don’t want to see another black man jailed but what he did he has to suffer the consequences of this actions. Indeed I would like to see him make more music, collaborate with other artists and of course make movies. But he should have known better. Weapons found in his home, car and going to meet his body guard to get more. Buying machine guns and a couple of silencers does not look good at all. I’m sorry but stop screaming free T.I. More like learn from your mistakes and set examples. For the commit left for number 29. You embarrass yourself buy posting ignorant words no one is hating on T.I. it’s something that he brought upon his self. No one forcedhim to have all those weapons in his home.
October 24th, 2007 at 5:46 pm
Man, I am like the biggest T.I fan not to say what he did wasn’t wrong, but look T.I have inspired and saved alot of being from the streets. Like on his Trap Muzik Cd the song “Be Better Than Me” helped me realized I can look up to someone without having to be just like them. T.I is a Icon that many fail to recognize look at all the things he have done for Atlanta and Hip-Hop and he still does not get the credit he deserves, not that he’s working or doing these things for the credit, but he has rights. And the for me the bail is extremely high I don’t think I have heard of any other rapper, or entertainer bail being as high as his it is downright unfair. T.I has made mistakes, but who hasn’t. All I can say is T.I is TO ME…THE BEST RAPPER EVER!!! NOTICE I SAID TO ME!!! IF YOU DISAGREE THAT’S YOU! FREE T.I! FREE T.I! FREE T.I! FREE T.I! FREE T.I! FREE T.I!
