T.I. Out On Bail For 3 Million Dollars
Grammy Award-winning rapper T.I. walked out of a federal court on $3 million bond on Friday two weeks after he was arrested in a weapons case that could see him jailed for 30 years.
“You are going to be under home incarceration that is going to be governed by an active GPS (Global Positioning System) at your cost,” Baverman told T.I., warning him not to have any contact with potential witnesses in the case.
This is going to be long drawn out case.

The point of bail is to deter the defendant from skipping trial. The reasoning is, if T.I. is awaiting trial and his bail is set at $5,000, he might think, “Fuck it, they can keep that pocket change. I’m gonna hide out in Europe.” But by holding onto $3 million, they figure that his thinking will be, “Shit, I can’t lose all that money. I might as well hang around and fight the case, see if I can get my paper back.” The court estimated that the possibility of losing $3 million would be enough to keep him from leaving the country. For the nigga around your way, who isn’t rich, $10K is what the courts think would keep him from running.
It’s also affected by how much time you’re facing and the kind of transportation you have accesss to. If a nigga is facing 50+ years, the judge knows that he’s gonna at least consider running. Depending on how much of a flight risk you are, they might increase the bail and confiscate your passport. A celebrity who has a private plane or helicopter, they’ll get charged out the ass for bail.
If Bill Gates went and did some serious shit, a realistic bail for him would have to be upwards of $1 billion.

If you are fortunate enough to be able to get a successful business off the ground, you have to guard that with your life. But you also, cannot put yourself in the situation that our Bro TI did. What part of the game is this?? Personal Pick up of these items WAS A HUGE NO-NO.
