Damon Dash Speaks On Doing Business With Friends
Even though I have been burned, I still love working with friends — business doesn’t feel so much like work that way. I have learned to take a close look at the way others work before we go into business. I make sure they share my interests and work ethic. This way, the friendship is not based on business, and if the business doesn’t go right (which happens) the friendship will remain the same. In fact — it becomes stronger.
Bottom line, if you do business with a friend, make sure that the relationship is real. It could cost you a lot of time and/or money.
